The most incredible stay directly on the Hawkesbury river! We spent two days here where we enjoyed all the place had to offer! Kayaking on the river, fishing, playing chess and having bbqs and drinks on the balcony with the fire and night stars! 5 stars we would love to come back!

This place ticked the boxes on paper but was even better when we arrived. Boat access only meant it was an adventure, kids were there to fish, which they did day and night, from the jeti and the kayak.... Mums relaxed. Plenty of bathrooms, next time I’d get a tinny cos the boys will be 15+. 2-3 days was enough only because once your at the house there isn’t any walking tracks etc, but those 2-3 days were perfect.

The communication was excellent. Timely and helpful. The house had everything we needed, including the kayaks which was fun. The house is well located for lunches at nearby restaurants and ordering a ...water taxi easy. I’d recommend a stay here for the peace, tranquility and comfort. Thanks Dyarubbin.

Kayak Pumpkin Point Creek
There is a kayak ready to explore on Dyarubbin's private jetty. Around the corner from Bar Point is Pumpkin Point Creek which is perfect for a paddle. The creek winds its way through mangroves and you'll hear nothing but birds and nature echoing around the tight bends.
Coffee Run By Boat
There are plenty of nooks and crannies upriver from Bar Point. One of those is the quiet riverside town of Spencer. Grabbing a coffee seemed like the perfect excuse to go for a burn-in our tinny (thanks to Hawkesbury Water Taxi's) so we took off upstream watching the locals and their way of life on the river while meandering up the shoreline.

This is how you get around in Bar Point. It's a 15min ride upriver to Dyarubbin and it's an epic way to rock up to your accommodation. Hire a tinny for your stay from Hawkesbury Water Taxi's and you'll be getting around like a local.
Hawkesbury River
Explore the river and meander past historic towns and magnificent national parks. The river begins just west of Windsor and runs to its mouth at Broken Bay where it flows into the sea. Tidal influences reach as far as the upper Hawkesbury River.
Swimming In A Secret Dam
Jump in a kayak or tinny and only 100m away from Dyarubbin you'll find a sign on the shoreline which reads "Popran National Park". There's no real track to follow but if you are keen on a bush bash, uphill you'll find an old freshwater dam which you can swim in. This one was a highlight and feels like your own private swimming hole.
