A unique stay in a fully renovated farm cottage adjacent to the Mullundung State Forest. The cottage is sited on a working beef farm with extensive views of the farm and Reedy Creek Valley from the living area, deck and master bedroom.

Kangaroos and wallabies are often seen from the deck at dawn & dusk grazing on adjoining paddocks. You can experience the quiet serenity of the Australian bush, devoid of traffic noise & neighbours. This is the ideal place to remember that life is wonderfully different without internet and mobiles, that leaving all that behind for a while can allow your mind to slow, to connect and to find itself again.
The beds are supremely comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, there are indoor and outdoor places to sit and enjoy the peace and bird song, and many places to visit.

THERE IS NO INTERNET, NO WIFI, AND UNRELIABLE MOBILE SERVICE

We provide a DVD player with a wide selection of movies, plus books and magazines to read. We also provide a sweeping view over the farm and surrounding forest, but unfortunately we can't allow farm access. Pets are welcome and we have had both cats and dogs stay so please let us know if you're bringing your pet. There is firewood provided for the indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
We regret we can't allow unallowed for visitors during your stay. Previously we have found that visiting friends of guests have abused this priviledge, despite assurances that they weren't staying. If you are intending to have friends to join you, please let us know in good time so we can prepare for them. (Max 5 guests) There is a fee for unapproved guests. There is a security camera on the driveway of the cottage which scans the carpark and entry point.
There is unlimited access to the fully fenced area surrounding the cottage.

Such a beautiful cottage! We had the most wonderful stay at Murphy's at Winswood and didn't want to leave.

The cottage is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and has a luxurious feel throughou...t. The views are absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

One of the highlights for us was the securely fenced yard. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our two beagle boys could run around freely and have the best time without us worrying about them getting out. Both the cottage and the backyard are incredibly spacious, making it ideal for both people and pets.

The cottage is well equipped with all the amenities you could need, and the host was accommodating, responsive, and genuinely kind.

We loved spending quality time by both the outdoor fire pit and the indoor fireplace, which made our stay feel even more special.

If you love travelling with your pets and are looking for a peaceful getaway with a secure outdoor space, Murphy's at Winswood is the perfect choice. We can't wait to come back!

Mullendung State Forest

The Mullundung State Forest is a beautiful example of the Australian bush. It is usual to see kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, goannas, amazing bird life and varied habitats. The tracks are generally sandy and gently undulating, making walking easy. We can provide maps if required.

All About Vino

A nice, local winery with a wide variety of wines. The Cab Sauv was our go-to, as per usual and it was nice!

Ninety Mile Beach

This magnificent beach goes from near Woodside all the way to Lakes Entrance. It is often deserted and you might have the whole magnifcent coastline all to yourself, as far as the eye can see. Dogs are allowed and can run free.

Corrigan Suspension Bridge

Walk to the remarkable Corrigan Suspension Bridge, which reaches through the rainforest canopy, offering stunning views of the lush fern gully below. Follow the signs from the Visitor Centre Carpark. (1.2 km, 25 min one way)

A short 1.2km walk through the forest will get you to Corrigan Suspension Bridge. The views are incredible. Tip: Try to get there early before 11am, otherwise it gets busy as.
