We had a lovely stay at SeaFolk, our pup loved the beach walks and even though the weather was crazy, we found lots to do. Jo was a fabulous host, excellent directions and info and loved the little touches with coffee, chocolate and biscuits.

We spent a wonderful week at Sea Folk in early April and can’t recommend it highly enough. The property had absolutely everything we needed – beautifully put together and decorated throughout, with co...mfy beds and pillows that made for genuinely restful nights. The fire pit was a real treat in the evenings, and the hammock got plenty of use too. It felt like a proper holiday home rather than just a rental.
We travelled with our miniature schnauzer, and he genuinely had the best week of his life. Cape Woolamai beach was on our doorstep and kept him (and us) very happy, and we also made it out to Ventnor dog beach. Local cafes were wonderfully dog-friendly – shoutout to Cottlesloe and The Store, who made us feel so welcome. Highlights on the food front were fish and chips from the San Remo Co-op (a classic for good reason) and a dinner from Cottlesloe that really hit the spot.
Coffee deserves a special mention – as a self-confessed coffee snob, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality across the island. A few spots right in Cape Woolamai were all excellent, and good coffee was genuinely easy to find wherever we went.
On the experiences side: the Penguin Parade was a lot of fun, though it was quite crowded – worth going but book ahead and manage your expectations around the numbers. The koala experience was a lovely, calm contrast – really special. The Saturday market in Cowes made for a fun few hours browsing with the family. And Churchill Island was an absolute highlight of the whole trip – one of the few spots we couldn’t bring the dog, but well worth the visit on its own.
A brilliant week on Phillip Island. Sea Folk was the perfect base for all of it – we’ll be back.

Phillip Island Brige
The welcoming gateway to Phillip Island was a photo-worthy stop! Seagulls circled high above and we spied the fishing village of San Remo.
Cape Woolamai Dog Beach

The Colonnades
The perfect place for an evening walk as the sun sets along the horizon.
Rock Pool Swimming
Along the north west end of Cape Woolamai beach – right before the headland you'll come to a secret swimming hole (accessible at low tide). Only locals seem to know about this place, and it’s pretty magical. In the middle of the rocks is a stunning rock pool filled with bluey-green water and some friendly stray fish, and comes with some excellent launching platforms to do some great cannonballs.
