Absolutely filthy, unclean, unhygienic. I wish I could add photos to this review, because you’d be just as disgusted as me.
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Within the fi...rst hour of checking in, I took multiple photos. I sent these to the host, but he is adamant the TinyHome was cleaned the morning of my check-in. He sent me a photo of a clean bathroom… it was not the same bathroom of the home I rented…
I needed to clean everything with toilet paper, because the place was unliveable.
•Layers (and I mean months) of dust, spiderwebs, dead bugs inside
•Kitchen utensils, bowls, glasses, cupboards, drawers and fridge were covered in dirt, dust and hair. Nothing could be used without us cleaning it
•Old toothpaste splashed on bathroom walls, sink and cupboard
•Long hair, pubic hair and dirt in the shower
•Long strands of hair on the toilet
•No hand soap, just sanitiser in the kitchen and bathroom. We had to use the almost-empty bottle of dishwashing liquid
•BBQ was covered in grime and the drip tray contained what I can only explain to be toxic to all life on earth
The only thing that appeared to have been ‘clean’ was the bed linen and 2 body towels.
The sliding bathroom door was broken. We had to use the bathroom with the door open, which as a woman needing to change feminine hygiene products, was NOT pleasant.
The alpacas were adorable, but I could only feel sorrow for them. Long matted locks, constantly wet and muddy, always begging for food. It seems they are used as a selling point for this property, but I can’t help but wonder how well they are looked after. I had to discard of the floating shit inside all their water bowls, rinse and refill them. I can only hope they have other access to clean water and food, and are shaved soon.
I suspect the host has not visited the multiple TinyHomes on the property in a very long time, because to he refuses to accept it is unkept.
If you want to receive personal text messages from the host at 10:30pm, go ahead and rent this place. It’s a wild ride. And you won’t get a full refund either…

Great little getaway spot to be off the grid for a few days. Alpacas super cute and you’re provided with pellets to feed them all day long. Wish the vineyard is properly maintained.

Strath Creek Falls
This waterfall is located in Mount Disappointment State Forest. Follow the walk, which leads you to a beautiful view of the falls cascading 50 metres to the gully below. The perfect time to visit is after heavy rains.
Wombelano Falls
Wombelano Falls is located off Captains Creek Road in Kinglake National Park. The 1.5km circuit-walking track winds through forest with big old growth trees and leads to the falls viewing platform.
Mount Sugarloaf
Mt Sugarloaf is located at the end of Mt Sugarloaf Road and is accessible by car or via the Mt Sugarloaf Ridge Walking Track. The summit offers spectacular views to Melbourne.
Kinglake National Park
Most of Kinglake National Park is covered in eucalypt forest. If you look closely you will see many of the trees showing a green new growth along their trunks following the fire. Grass trees now have tall flowering spikes and tree ferns are bright with new growth.
