Had the most wonderful stay at Nic's!! The cabin is soooo cosy and comfortable with so many cute and quirky details. Plus, Nic is a legend has has clearly put such thoughtfulness into his hosting - th...ere was so many little touches that made our stay extra special. Sitting on in the hammocks in the afternoon sun listening to the birds was absolute bliss, and going to bed in the comfy four poster looking at the stars was brilliant. LOVED IT! Will be back!!

The cabin is such a special place. Nick was an incredible host and has built something really special in the most beautiful surroundings.
It was so nice to step away and switch off for a while, and reconnect with nature.

Hands down one of the best stays we’ve had. Nic is an absolute legend — super easy to communicate with and just a genuinely great guy. Still can’t get over the fact he built the cabin himself… it’s go...t so much character and feels really special.
We spent way too much time chilling in the hammocks on the verandah (no regrets), and the wood fire made it ridiculously cosy. Also loved all the messages on the bathroom walls — such a cool, quirky touch.
The whole place is peaceful, quiet and just properly relaxing, with amazing views. Feeding the kangaroos was a highlight (and yes, the duck deserves a mention too).
Couldn’t recommend it more — just book it. We’ll 100% be back!

Gardens Of Stone National Park

Pearsons Lookout Over Capertee Valley
Panoramic views over Capertee Valley—dramatic cliffs, vast landscapes, and peaceful stillness stretching endlessly.
Capertee Valley
At the end of Nic’s road, you’re greeted by the stunning Capertee Valley—endless views, winding scenic roads, and a peaceful stillness. With barely any cars around, it’s quiet, untouched, and the kind of place where you can truly take in the landscape.
The Lost City An Easy Walk Through Incredible Pagodas
It’s an easy-to-moderate walk near Lithgow, perfect for a quick adventure with epic views, especially at sunrise or sunset when the rocks glow golden. A short drive on a dirt road gets you close, making it one of the most accessible hidden gems in NSW.
