Although it was bad weather, it was a great escape. Such a lovely place to stay with amazing views. Not far from town to get anything you may have forgotten or for a good dinner. The fish and chips shop is a definite must. Paula and Craig were amazing to deal with as well.

As soon as we had arrived at our retreat and stood there on the balcony, inhaling the breathtaking vista that lay before us , we knew that we were in for a very special time . The lawns were like car...pet , beautifully framed by the natural settings Sitting in the chairs that were dotted around the garden and just listening to the tranquility that surrounded you , was wonderfully meditative . Super comfortable accommodation and a spa to boot topped the weekend off very nicely .

Couples retreat is exactly what it is a very comfortable, very clean cozy retreat for you and your other half to relax and reconnect with each other. It helps when you have a fantastic view from your ...balcony overlooking a gardener's dream with the many tiers of some of the best manicured gardens, I have ever seen with of course the putting green to end your walk.
Then end your evening with a soak in the hot tub. Would definitely return

Waitekohe Stream Swimming Hole
The Waitekohe recreational park in centered around the scenic Waitekohe stream and there are several natural swimming holes along it. While walking along a trail from the Thompsons track carpark, we stumbled on the perfect spot for an afternoon swim.
Katikati Bird Gardens
Located on the outskirts of Katikati, the bird gardens is a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll. $11 entry fee and no shortage of chickens, turkeys and the odd peacock roaming free. There are a number of other birds to be viewed and the gardens themselves are beautiful.
A Stroll Through Haiku Park
Take a wander through Haiku Park, situated in the heart of Katikati. Down by Uretara stream, you’ll find a collection of carved haiku poems dotted throughout the park. Plenty of green space makes this a great picnic spot in good weather.
Katikati Sunday Farmers Market
A cute local farmers market held weekly on Sundays in the Katikati war memorial hall. It's a great spot to find local produce, baked goods and ice cream.
Swim At The Aongatete Water Holes
The Aongagtete Swimming Holes are a gorgeous local spot to explore. From the car park, it’s an easy 30 minutes walk to the pools through Pūriri and Kohekohe forest. We went for a quick swim and then relaxed in the sun near the pools.
Hang Out At Omokoroa Beach
A beautiful spot to take the family out for a swim at this safe white sandy beach. The playground nearby is also offering fun packed entertainment for the kids.
