Located on the coast in the beautiful and quiet town of Walkerville North, this beach shack is the ideal place to soak up all that nature has to offer. The shack has beach access at the front and bush at the back - now that's my cup of tea.
With views to Wilson's Prom this location will entice you to get outdoors and start exploring one of Gippslands most beautiful areas.
Walkerville North beach is one short minute away, perfect for exploring, fishing, swimming and kayaking. And the beautiful 'Magic Beach' of Walkerville South is also close, head down a dirt road to discover a beautiful protected cove with a beach boat ramp. Awesome for stand up paddling, kayaking, fishing and boat trips.
You are also only one hour drive away from Wilson's Promontory National Park. Choose from various hikes to secluded beaches, lookouts or climb Mount Oberon for spectacular views over the National Park. On your drive into Tidal River you will pass the Darby River that winds it's way to the ocean. Perfect for kayaking or stand up paddle adventures.

Incredible location, the perfect break from the city.
Stones throw from Walkerville North beach, and a short drive from Wilson’s Prom National Park.
The house itself is cosy, warm, and more than enough space for a group of friends or large family.
Would definitely stay again.

Walkerville Historic Beach Walk
Make your way from the boat ramp along the rock strewn beach of Walkerville North and discover the incredible history of the limestone mining in this area. You will find caves that house families of fluffy mice bats, rock pools to explore and a panoramic view of the crystal blue waters that hug the coastline. The sun with rise directly in the front of this beach so a sunrise or morning stroll will really kickstart the day.
Historic Cliff Kilns
Walkerville Lime Kilns still stand to this day and certainly worth a look! I walked along the beach as well as the walking track checking them all out! Limited parking so I would get there before lunchtime and there's toilets too.

Walkerville Beach
Extremely secluded, Walkerville South is only accessible by lonely gravel roads and the lack of people ensures that facilities are at a bare minimum. Walkerville North provides beautiful views across Waratah Bay to nearby Wilsons Promontory, and at low tide provides access to spectacular rock pools.
The gravel road that leads to Walkerville South ends with a similar boat ramp to that of its northern sister settlement, and a sheltered bay frequented in the summer by families swimming and fishing in the quiet pristine waters.

Low Tide Cave Climbing And Rock Rocks
On the same beach as the Lime Kilns Walkerville, the opposite end of the beach are these volcanic looking rocks! Once the tide is out, I went exploring in and around the caves finding all sorts of hidden gems! Rock pools. Swimming holes.. Was super awesome!!
