Additional Information

Spacious open plan living area with quality furnishings. The Master bedroom has a King size bed, French doors onto the deck with views of the hills, valley and horses. The second bedroom has either two single beds or a Super King double bed and also enjoys French doors onto the deck. Both bedrooms boast goose down duvets and the finest Egyptian linen.

There is a double shower in the bathroom with tiled under-floor heating and heated towel rails. Utter luxury. The second bathroom is a powder room with magnifying mirror for perfect make up application!

Outside you will love the covered Summer House with open fire and curtains so that you can pull them up or down depending on the weather. On the top deck you have a fire pit for long summer evenings as well as a luxury cedar hot tub.

You have the entire house to yourselves which includes a huge deck overlooking the horse farm and down the valley, plus a grass lawn with a lower deck.

I will be on hand if you have any queries. There is a lockbox where the key will be.

This is a quiet and friendly no through road with the beach at the end which is used by walkers and horse riders.

Parking is included but I would recommend your own transport as the nearest train station is five-minute drive away.

Head down to the secluded Te Horo Beach, a hidden spot with views of Kapiti Island. You'll struggle to see another person anywhere else along this stretch of sand, given how remote it is. What better way to enjoy the privacy than to kick back with a bottle of wine and watch the sunset behind Kapiti Island?

Bus Stop Cafe

It's all in the name: a bus and a cafe. This quirky cafe is situated in Te Horo on the Kapiti coast. Grab a coffee and enjoy some great local food (but get there early as it's in high demand!)

Tararua Forest Park

From the rural town of Otaki you can plan expeditions into the Tararua Forest Park, where there are great hiking opportunities.

Tuatara Brewery

Across the road from Duncan's, you have Tuatara Brewery. We opted to try the tasting paddle of four beers, which came in at fantastic value for only $20! Inside the tap room there is an array of memorabilia and awards to check out. When you're done, you have the option of buying a couple of takeaway beers to enjoy back at your accommodation... there's something special about buying directly from the source.

Duncans Brewery Popup Bar

Once a month Duncan's hosts a Brewery Popup Bar. Grab a table inside the brewery, or choose to sit outside in the sun and work your way through the eight beers on tap. Food is provided by the Smoked & Pickled food truck, or if you feel like pizza, local favourite Passo can deliver straight to your table.
