I described it as a gem of a spot in a tranquil bush setting away from main house. Would definitely recommend a stay for complete relaxation. Judy is a very communicative host making sure you are comfortable during your stay.

The Lookout At The Top Of Spoons Bay
We popped into Spoon Bay on the second afternoon of our adventure when there was a brief break in the weather. Definitely want to come back here on a beautiful day, but even with the wind and rain, the view was gorgeous. We spent half an hour watching a sea eagle ride the wind.
Exploring Distillery Botanica
Spend the afternoon exploring Distillery Botanica and all it has to offer. You can experience the tranquility, beauty and aromas of the Victorian-style cottage gardens. This place has everything! Visit the cafe and have some lunch, treat yourself to an afternoon gelato or relax with a massage and an afternoon gin tasting.
Gin Tasting At Bar Botanica
This was by far one of the favourites form the whole trip! We got told by a local barista that it was a must-do so we thought we'd check it out. We got a full rundown on the history of Bar Botanica and its owner as well as a tasting of every gin they distil and supply.
After all that, you get to walk through the beautiful gelato shop home to Mr Goaty gelato. Dan the owner and creator of all the different gelatos were kind enough to tell me all about the building and the creation process of the gelato. It tasted as amazing as it looked!

Gin Tasting And Handpicked Brunch
Great for vegans and nonvegans, this beautiful gem is a mustvisit for all walks of life. Dan and his staff were so lovely and accommodating it was a serene visit. We sat in the beautiful greenhouse-like café while the rain poured over the glass walls. It was simply, stunning. We then explored the grounds, and slowly meandered our way to the gin distillery. Here, Ash spoke to us about the history of bar Botanica, and the distillery. We learned so much about gin and brought some home as a souvenir. We spent the rest of the day walking around the beautiful property.
Six String Brewing Co
Had a most enjoyable pale ale, burger and chips. Six String Brewery provides an intimate and enjoyable atmosphere, definitely worth a visit!
Surfing At Terrigal
We parked up nearby and joined the friendly locals down at the massive beach. Super central, and great little waves!
