We had a lovely, relaxing time at Stanley Cabin. Our hosts had a fire going already when we got there. Had a great time exploring the surrounding area as well as relaxing by the fireplace in the cabin. Highly recommend!

The Stanley Cabin was great for our little family (travel with a 2 yo). Close to playgrounds, great grounds to wonder into the trees, cosy warm cabin.
Would recommend and stay again.

Staying at the Stanley cabin was a lovely, tranquil experience. The scenery around the cabin is beautiful and it's a short walk from the Stanley pub and a short drive to the Beechworth Main Street. Th...e cabin is lovely and cosy, with the fireplace making it perfect when it's cold outside. Fiona was a lovely host and our welcome of crumpets and honey was an appreciated and delicious touch.

Native Wildlife
A diverse array of animal and bird life visit the cabin. See how many species of native birds you can spot, regulars include kookaburras, black cockatoos, galahs, eastern spinebills, gang gangs and spotted pardalot. Keep an eye out for the eastern grey kangaroos and occasional echidna and koala.

Outdoor Yoga
Between two drops, I enjoyed a yoga session rocked by the soft music of the wind and the birds. There is a yoga mat for you to use in the cabin.

The Magic Forest
The title says it all, we were recommended to this spot by a local. We really struggled at first to find it but eventually got there, it's pretty hidden.. but well worth it.

Jim Jam Foods
Jim Jam foods was another gem find! All their products are made on site. Maggie and Steve started the company in Melbourne but now live and run it from Stanley and with good reason too. You’ll find their little shop just after the gorgeous tree lined driveway nestled in open green meadows. We had our morning coffee here and picked up some supplies.
Murmungee Lookout
A stunning lookout less than 10 minutes from Beechworth. It is a perfect spot for a picnic with an incredible view on the surrounding.
Berry Picking
We went blackberry picking when we stumbled on piles and piles of them just near the lodge. There were also mountains of them at the back of the property, but they weren't quite ripe yet.
Indigo Epic Trail Beechworth To Yackandandah Return On Ebikes
A bit of a bucketlist bike ride in the high county, the Indigo Epic trail is a 56km All Mountain single track mountain biking trail connecting the historic towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah. Even on an E-bike it's a massive ride, thankfully we were able to sneak in a couple of pies and some eclectic shopping in Yackandah at the halfway point.
