Additional Information
BEDROOMS
Three spacious bedrooms offer a very comfortable night’s sleep. Downstairs, the ‘King bedroom’ features a luxurious king-sized bed, a sitting area and direct views into the surrounding bushland. The ‘Queen bedroom’ projects gorgeous sunny reflections from the pond outside onto the French-washed walls, inviting you to listen to the sound of the gently flowing water. Upstairs, ‘the loft’ contains the final King sized bed, adjacent to another small sitting area perfect for enjoying the views of the nearby orchard and grounds. ***Please note the stairs leading into the loft are not suited to anyone with mobility issues.***
AIR CONDITIONING
A large split system helps cool the barn from the kitchen/living area. There is also a split system in 'the loft' bedroom. All rooms have large opening windows. The King bedroom and loft have ceiling fans to circulate fresh air and the Queen room has a portable electric fan.
KITCHEN
The kitchen offers quality, modern amenities including a falcon classic deluxe oven, large refrigerator/freezer, walk-in pantry, microwave, plenty of cookware and rustic concrete benchtops. For the more adventurous, an outdoor pizza oven offers the thrill of serving your own perfectly cooked pizzas or roast. Even the living room is tempting you to get cooking as the large central woodfire features its own oven and cooktop!
BATHROOM
The spacious & light-filled bathroom features a freestanding bath looking out onto bushland & a modern shower, vanity & toilet.
OUTDOORS
Step outside into the five acre grounds and you’re treated to the sound of flowing water from the neighbouring creek and the unique ‘mote’ style pond that appears to wrap around the barn’s front door. Birdwatch from the gazebo and you might be joined by one of the local, mysterious lyrebirds who famously make this place their home. The patio offers alfresco dining, while you soak in the sunny, north facing views of the dell below. Step down from the patio into the edible garden and veggie patch to find something to add to your dinner or maybe pick something from the orchard if you can’t wait. Explore the edge of the wild with huge, towering gums above and untouched national park all at your doorstep.
PETS & WILDLIFE
Wombats, koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, owls and lyrebirds are frequently spotted at this location along with a huge variety of bird life. For this reason we do not allow pets on the property as we respectfully wish to preserve the grounds for the local (and very flighty) wildlife.
CHILDREN
Although we wish the magic of the property could be experienced by all, unfortunately the ponds, fireplace and unguarded stairs make the property unsuitable for crawling babies or unsupervised children.
PRIVACY
The 5 acres at the barn is secluded and exclusively yours during your stay. We live on a neighbouring property which is separated by dense bushland & will respect your privacy, though are more than happy to provide help and advice as needed.
ACCESS
The shared (unsealed) driveway can become very wet at certain points in the year and is quite steep. Despite this, access is fine for smaller vehicles.
WIFI
Free wifi is available - (NBN via satellite service) is provided and can be used for streaming, voice/video calls, messaging, browsing and general use.
PHONE RECEPTION: Phone reception is patchy. Telstra customers may get some reception intermittently.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Due to local laws outdoor fires may not be lit during the CFA fire danger period (generally summer - mid autumn, but changes annually). This unfortunately includes the use of BBQs and pizza ovens. No fires may be lit on days of total fire bans.
Booking availability is weather dependent during the fire season, subject to CFA fire danger ratings. The Barn will become unavailable for your stay during a CODE RED fire rating and you will be fully refunded. Guests have the option of cancelling during extreme/severe fire ratings at short notice with a full refund.

1Listings
My partner Lynton & I recently ditched our busy city lives in pursuit of a slower & more sustainable existence in Gippsland’s beautiful bushland. When we’re not working, you’ll find us playing music, gardening or creating art, clothing or furniture. Growing & cooking our own food is a particular passion of ours, but we also love eating out & trying new food when travelling.

Woodfire Pizza For Dinner
We saw the Woodfire Pizza oven in the listing photos and couldn't wait to give it a red hot crack when we arrived! Roll out some dough and throw on your favourite toppings, it takes some time to get it up to the right temp so start the heating of the oven process earlier rather than later. Once at the temp you can start banging them out super quick!

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
Exploring The Local Area Of Yinnar South
We drove through to the small quaint town of Yinnar South, grabbed a coffee and walked around to see what the town had to offer. The locals were super friendly and up for a yarn, we grabbed a coffee and walked around exploring the shops and parks.
Morwell National Park
Located in the northern foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, this national park is small but of great value in preserving the area's original plant and animal life.
Fosters Gully Nature Trail
In this National Park wildlife thrives, with echidnas, kangaroos, possums, wallabies and wombats often spotted vanishing into the bush. You may also disturb a skink, goanna or other reptile on your walk. There are over 43 species of orchids, some of which are quite rare, have been identified in the dry Eucalypt woodlands as well as in the ferny gullies along the creek.
Explore The Morwell Falls
An easy walk to the falls from the car park. Super nice flowing falls, well worth checking out.
Tarra Bulga Scenic Circuit
Located in the Tarra-Bulga National Park, the Tarra-Bulga scenic circuit is 8.2 kilometres long and probably one of the most beautiful hikes close to Melbourne. This scenic rainforest trail took us above and under the lush gullies, giant mountain ash trees and tree ferns. We loved soaking in the beauty and admiring the endless rainforest under our feet.
Tarra Bulga National Park
This has to be one of Gippsland’s most iconic walks, and it’s one of the most family-friendly. It’s a great walk to take in the flora and fauna of the Strzelecki Ranges, and a walk over Corrigan’s Suspension Bridge is the must-do jewel in the crown.
