This is a fabulous new home right on the lakefront where you will have the whole downstairs area which is self-contained. The open plan living area with an outside deck and BBQ enjoys the incredible view of the lake and Mt Tarawera which cannot be built out because of the reserve in front of the property. If you require extra sleeping arrangements for a short stay we can provide extra mattresses to go on the floor.
There are two double bedrooms and an extra-long window seat in the living area which can fit two people end to end. You will love the native bush and the constant sound of the birds. The sun or moon rising on the lake is spectacular and the reflection of the sunsets is breathtaking.
Great features include the outstanding view of the lake and Mount Tarawera with easy boat access, a playground for your kids, BBQ, bush walks around the lake, room for outdoor games, surrounded by beautiful bush and birdlife and trout fishing for those with a licence! You can walk to Hot water beach from the car park before the Buried village - the car park is 5 mins away. The walk is 3-4 hours depending on your speed and fitness unless you want to run.
We are only 20 mins from Rotorua, one of NZ's top tourist destinations and 25mins from the airport. With Taupo 1hr 20mins away and only 1 &1/4 hrs to great surf beaches, this is a great place to come home to. Rotorua is famous for its thermal activity, hot pools, world-class cycling trails and walks in the Redwood forest.
We have easy access from the road down a new concrete driveway and there is free car parking space for 1-2 cars.
You will have access to the downstairs part of this house and share with the hosts the laundry facilities. You will be completely private with your own key.
We will welcome our guests but unless they want contact with us we will be happy to give them privacy.
With Rotorua only 20minutes away you will be able to enjoy so many activities outdoor and indoor. We can provide you with some great suggestions.
There is no public transport to or from this location so you will need your own vehicle.
There is extra parking available on reserve beside this property. Easy access for boats. Or you can park on the reserve side of the house.
