Hidden from view by stunning eucalypts and rolling green hills, as you meander up the winding driveway you eventually reach a charming log cabin nestled amongst the trees.

Approximately 6 acres in size, the land is undulating with a natural spring water stream running through one side and direct access to state forest and Mount Emu. If you are a nature, biking or hiking enthusiast this property is for you!

Welcome.

On the foothills overlooking Mount Bogong, we’ve turned an original hand-built log cabin into a private getaway. Our ambition - provide an escapism that positively influences all those who visit. Moncrief Log Cabin is intimate and comfortable. A place to unwind and embrace the simple pleasures of nature and life. 

Stay.

​Positioned so that you are protected from the hot summer sun, cool breezes are filtered through the fernery. With its rustic hand-built stone fireplace, inviting living room, Moncrief is also a cosy winter cabin. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom with an additional loft space that offers an extra sleeping area.

​Sleep.

The main bedroom has a generous king bed and direct access to the shared bathroom and living room. Soak up the stunning views from the comfort of your bed.

​The second bedroom is located upstairs and features two single beds that can be made into a king bed if needed. The easterly aspect floods this room with beautiful morning light.

The third bedroom is an open space upstairs and consists of one single bed.

Imagine the tranquility of falling asleep in your sumptuous bed, lulled by the bubbling stream and then awakening to birdsong.

​Play.

The cabin is secluded, yet only 10 minute drive to Mount Beauty. The area has a plethora of activities for the outdoor enthusiast and with Mount Bogong on your doorstep, you will find a number of bush walks close by.

​Restore.

​Enjoy full moons and sunrises, rainwater and summer breezes, films and books, wood fires and outdoor games, mountain biking and bushwalking, alfresco dining and breakfast in bed. And especially, the good company you bring.

Guest Access.

​You will have complete privacy and access to the entire cabin. The grounds are yours to enjoy, a beautiful space to explore. There are two sheds on the property that are for private use only.
