I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful beachside retreat, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! The location of this place was absolutely perfect - just steps away from the ...stunning beach. The view was simply breathtaking and made for a truly unforgettable stay.
The place was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities you could possibly need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The decor was tasteful and charming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Absolutely loved staying here and would definitely come back. The house has everything you need and more then I thought it would. The host was also great with communicating quickly with me. This is a ...great central spot for coromandel and doesn't take long to get around from here. We did the waterworks, Tairua history trail and day trips to the beaches and was lovely to come back to a beautiful home at the end of the day. Beautiful beach to walk along at sunset too! Would highly recommend!

This place really captures the essence of Tairua. A humble kiwi bach filled with heaps of retro character, a narrow winding staircase and two little cubby bedrooms at the top of the A-frame. We felt l...ike we were kids again staying in a playhouse! We spent the mornings and evenings on the deck witnessing breath-taking views of the mountain and picturesque inlet, and took full advantage of the location being just 5 mins from the beach. Surf was great! Would highly recommend this stay to friends and family.

Enjoy The Views From Mount Paku
In terms of views to effort ratio, this walk is a 10/10. An easy 20 - 30 minute walk from the carpark to the summit rewards you with 360 degree views over Tairua and Pauanui.

After spending a long day on Pauanui Beach, the nearby wharf felt like the perfect spot to end the day watching the sunset.
Chips On Pauanui Beach
Somehow a day at the beach doesn't feel complete without some hot chips from the local takeaway, so we made sure to enjoy some on Pauanui Beach while fending off seagulls and watching the crashing waves.
Hike Up Mount Pauanui
A brisk 1-hour hike took us to the summit of Mount Pauanui where we were rewarded with stunning 180-degree views of the area. The track is easy to follow and the bench at the top is a welcome rest stop after 380m of elevation gain.
