Set in the foothills of the spectacular Cambewarra Mountain and on the fringe of Cambewarra Village, ROSE & BARN Country Cottages occupies a one-acre parcel of land surrounded by farmland with three separate accommodations to either book individually or all together. The Barn is 1 of them.

The 'Barn Cottage' is located at the rear of the one-acre property and has its own driveway off Tannery Road. The two-bedroom cottage features large barn doors which open to the outside, a wood-burning fireplace, and a spiral staircase to the loft bedroom above.

The Barn has lots of private garden areas around it to be enjoyed, maybe with a match of finska or a little bit of badminton. We have recently added as well an outdoor firepit, perfectly placed to enjoy the amazing views of the mountain.

The property features as well a "communal" entertaining area with another large fire pit + a covered dining area, which can be illuminated by night and with the magnificent backdrop of Cambewarra Mountain and borrowed views of the surrounding farmland it's the perfect spot to watch the day goes by. The communal area is welcome to be used by guests with notification to the host to ensure privacy for everyone else who might stay on the property.

Although offering rural tranquility, the property is central to the entire region and is only 15 minutes from the townships of Berry and Kangaroo Valley, 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay, Shoalhaven Heads, Gerringong or Huskisson, and for convenience, only 5 minutes the Bomaderry Shopping complex (incl Woolworth, BWS, Pharmacy, Coffeeshop, Fast Food options, Massage Spa & Nailspa).

Barfield Road and Tannery Road are wonderful for morning/afternoon strolls, with an array of wildlife.

The Host will send a list of all contact details of supplies nearby via SMS before arrival to help guests easily find their way around.

Absolutely charming, romantic and so much more than we could have imagined. It rained 3 out of 4 days but that made it perfect. With a cozy fire, a view of the lush fields, rain on the roof and time t...o reconnect, we can’t wait to come back.

Kangaroo Valley village and Berry not far away for exploring little boutiques and local bakeries and cafes.

Juliane was a gracious hostess and was available to answer any queries we had.

The cabin was beautiful—very clean and perfectly tucked away in nature, with stunning views over the farm and horses. It had both indoor and outdoor fire pits, which made it super cozy, and we loved t...he little touches like the old DVD player, music player, and games around the house. The whole place had such a great vibe.
We also explored some nearby spots like Red Rocks Lookout, Cambewarra Lookout (grabbed a coffee there), and Berry, which made the trip even better.
I’d definitely come back again, and next time I’d bring a bigger group to enjoy it together!

The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. We loved being able to sit outside for breakfast every morning and take in the beautiful countryside views. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Perfect for a few nights getaway

Cambewarra Mountain Lookout

Just up the road from The Barn Cottage, you'll find a steep, windy road that leads you to one of the best views in the area stretching as far as the ocean. Take a picnic or a couple of drinks to watch the sunset, and you might get lucky and come across one of the local wombats.

The Retreat played the role of perfect home base for adventuring, with The Cambewarra Lookout just 5km away and perfectly placed for a sunset stopt, the views covers the expanse from Nowra to the ocean and it is beautiful.

'The Lookout' commands a magnificent panorama of Shoalhaven City, stretching from Coolangatta Mountain in the north, way down to Pigeon House Mountain just inland from Ulladulla, in the south. The view also includes Point Perpendicular and the beautiful Jervis Bay National Park.

Rock Climbing In Nowra

As rock climbers we spend most weekends tied in to one end of the rope on the sharp end of a climbing route.
Nowra has some of the best sport climbing in the country and most of these climbing areas are only a stones throw from where you park.
If you haven't already, you should try climbing, it's great fun and is a great lifestyle sport.

Silos provided us with some of the best wines that we've had. The staff are kind, knowledgable and were able to have a laugh with us. We couldn't pass up the cheese board and nor should you!
