From the moment we arrived we felt totally at home. As we walked the charming vintage decor took us straight back to our grandparents home. The attention to detail was extraordinary and so beautiful...ly curated, and such delicious home made goodies saved us from heading to find dinner. So a fire was lit, the wine opened and a lovely evening playing Scrabble began. Wonderfully comfortable beds with high quality bedding and linen made sure of a good nights sleep. Next morning a walk to the river where you could spend hours relaxing with the sound of the flowing river on a hammock or comfortable chairs and even a fire pit. Darlene, our gorgeous hostess, was attentive but not intrusive at all and we asked her to visit us on our last morning so we could meet her! Two nights was not enough and we are planning a return with other members of our family. Utterly bliss time.

Such a quaint place to stay. So beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. The location was ideal for taking the bikes and lovely wineries nearby.

Recommended by our hosts, we stopped into Chrismont Winery in Cheshunt for a tasting and deliciously long lunch. From the magnificent views over the valley and the beautiful wines to the gourmet Italian fare and excellent service, it’s a must-visit on any King Valley adventure!

Hike To Paradise Falls
Hidden deep within the Alpine National Park and surrounded by native forest, Paradise Falls is a 31m-high overhanging waterfall plunging into a secret forest pool. The walk from the carpark is just 10-minutes and leads you to a viewing platform. There’s also a trail that leads behind the falls, where the full scale of the epic red overhanging cliffs can really be felt!

A serene escape under a cavernous red cliff face from which the falls runoff onto a small rock pool while local frogs and birds provide the commentary.
