The cottage is bright, comfortable, and fully self-contained. It is a spacious yet cosy place situated in the heart of our 80-acre regenerative farm, with our sheds and market gardens on one side, and on the other an expanse of fields stretching down to the Tarwin River.
During your stay, wander the property or watch our free-range animals grazing. Spot wildlife. Enjoy access to fresh, organically-grown produce directly from our farm. We offer every guest a tour of the farm, including the opportunity to pat and interact with animals where appropriate.
This is a busy working farm, however, the cottage is a private space despite the activities happening outside.
We welcome children and infants at our farm stay, but please be aware that there are no child locks on cabinets, and no screen around the log fire. When outside the cottage, children must be supervised at all times as there are water troughs, electric fences, farm machinery, large animals, and sometimes snakes around. We have two young working dogs that are great with kids.
The farm is close to several towns and attractions that will definitely appeal to anyone visiting South Gippsland. We are 10 minutes from the nearest beach, 5 minutes from the conveniences of Tarwin Lower, 15 minutes from Meeniyan and Inverloch, an hour from Wilson's Prom. You won't have to travel far to get a great meal, a coffee, or a beautiful walk.

The perfect base to explore South Gippsland, or have a cozy weekend in. I could spend all day watching the clouds float by.

We had such a lovely weekend! The place was clean and cozy, and they even left us some complimentary eggs and fresh veggies. The couple was so kind and gave us a little tour of their farm, which we re...ally enjoyed. We asked for quite a bit of help and probably disturbed them a little (we were a group of all girls!), but they were always there right away to assist us with a smile. You can also purchase veggies, meat, honey, and sauces from their website—all fresh and straight from their farm. It was a really great experience, especially as a getaway from work and the busy city life.

I've been farming with my husband since 2018. We grow vegetables organically, and raise animals ethically. We want to make our small farm truly regenerative, and create more habitat for wildlife on our land. Our farm is our whole life, and we want others to be able to enjoy it too!

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
Surfing
Venus Bay is a very open, exposed bay, facing into the south-west winds and waves. The beach is nearly 24 km long and has public access only toward the northern end at the Venus Bay settlement. Best with a low to moderate swell and north to north-east winds, however the shape depends on the bar configuration.
Fishing
Venus Bay and surrounding beaches are renowned for their autumn, winter and spring salmon fishing while snapper, gummy sharks and flathead are caught from the same beaches.
No 4 Beach
Getting a new board, and getting Skye a wetsuit for her upcoming birthday, we were keen to get some decent minutes on the water this weekend. The wind picked up a bit too much on Saturday, so beach activities did the trick, but Sunday’s conditions provided the goods!

Breakfast At Vela 9
After being spoilt for choice with cafe's, we finally decided on Vela 9 on the main street. We sat outside in the little courtyard and had the best Hash potatoes ever! So good that we went back the next day and both ordered them again.
Local Produce Markets
Most weekends, there are local markets - big and small - that showcase local arts, crafts and produce. From fruit and veg to candles and knick-knacks, there is something for everyone. Grab a coffee and browse the many shops and stalls around.

Local Wines
Nearby Inverloch offers varieties of local wines. Dirty Three Wines or The Wine Farm are favourites of the region.
