Our group of 15 had such a great time at Katherine’s accommodation! The outdoor fire pit is the best and largest I’ve seen, and the Shearer’s Quarters is very comfortable and perfect for a large group. We surfed down at McGuarans Beach and enjoyed the fresh country air.

Our party had a great time at Barooma homestead! The cabins were warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Katharine and her family were hospitable and made us feel welcome right from the get go. Highly recommended!

Welcome to Barooma Homestead We are a farming family and love farming life on the farm. Come and say hi, you might find me at the cattle yards drenching cattle, feeding chooks or at the beach surf fishing nearby. Barooma Homestead is steeped in history, dating back to the 1800’s. The comfortably updated shearer’s quarters used to be a hive of activity during shearing time on what was originally a 5000 acre farm. Barooma is now a small family-owned and run farm with quaint accommodation, modern amenities and a combination of historical and modern dwellings.
