And while we love children, the Luxury glamping sites are not suitable for them. It's hard on them and boring, and children are hard on our set up. The White Aspen campground exceeds all my exceptions its not 100% camping but not 100% glamping and is just the right mix of both. It was so fun being able to have incredible sites, breakfast ready for you, and plenty of places to explore within hiking distance. HIGHLY recommend.

Grilling Out At White Aspen

One of my favorite things we did on this trip was picking up brats from Cured in downtown Leavenworth. They're the best brats around, and we also picked up some sides from the local grocery store. I highly recommend a good ol' grill out around the camp fire back at White Aspen.

Snow Sports

This is the closest place to ski or snowboard in Leavenworth. Leavenworth Ski Hill offers two rope tows for downhill skiing as well as a network of groomed nordic trails in the winter. Have fun on the tubing hill or enjoy a hot cocoa at the lodge.

Streets Of Washingtons Bavaria

Leavenworth is a tourist's DREAM. The streets are lined with Bavarian-themed decor, and full of fun gift shops, wine, bratwurst and so much more. So I enjoyed my favorite things, looking at the buildings, brats and an iced coffee!

Waterfront Walkabout

Typically when visiting Leavenworth this is the spot to end an incredible FLOAT! But this time around it was the perfect place for a stroll with the dogs and a walk in the water to cool off. The waterfront park is located right under the Main Street along the river and is where MANY like to hop on inner tubes or swim in the river coves. A well-shaded mini hike is everything on a hot summer day.

Grazie Viadolce

As a gelato snob, Viadolce satisfies the needs of a refreshing cool down while walking through downtown Leavenworth. As it got nice and toasty in town, it was great to have a place to stop and take a few licks of some yummy gelato under some shade and in the air-conditioning.

Wenatchee River

The river is popular for many water activities including rafting, swimming, fishing and tubing. There are commercial rafting companies that operate on the river in the spring and summer. On warm summer days join the inter–tubers and rafters on the river.

River Fishing

The river's primary tributaries are the Chiwawa River, Nason Creek, Peshastin Creek, and Icicle Creek, which joins the Wenatchee in Leavenworth. Fish species in the river include Salmon, various trout species, and mountain whitefish.
