Breathtaking mountain retreat just 16 miles from Leavenworth. Enjoy 673 acres of private land and thousands more of forest service land to hike, ride, and explore.
We are located at the absolute highest point of the mountain; we have the entire ridge line dedicated to our unique set up. With this comes mountain top conditions; often it’s windy, the temps may drop, and occasionally it rains... mostly we have sunshine. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience staying off grid on top of a mountain.
The Dragontail site is a favorite for large groups, camper vans, pop-up trailers, and small rv trailers (20ft. or less). However it has multiple groomed areas for pitching tents. We recommend limiting it to 4 tents, but the space is big enough for more. There is running potable water with two faucets at this location, two picnic tables, and a firepit dedicated to this site.
This location is not in the Enchantment Mountains; the sites are named for the views of the mountain peaks and ridges viewed from each site.
These campsites are for the adventurous, true campers. Gorgeous views in every direction and some of the most rare plant life and rock minerals in the world.
We are located at 5,600 ft elevation on top of a mountain ridge and weather is unpredictable. We will give you our best updates on weather conditions as close to your arrival as possible so you can prepare for particular circumstances and work out details with us so we can help with our expert advice to make your stay as magical and comfortable as possible....

There are dangerous cliffs nearby, so it may not be suitable for all children.
Each site has a bathroom that you can walk to, but it is shared with other campers in the site next to you (one bathroom per two campsites).
Keep in mind that this is a mountain top ridge, so while we aim to keep your area private from others, there are not tons of trees to separate the sites, you will end up seeing other people, but I assure you it’s far more spacious than 95% of other normal campgrounds.
We will provide a bathroom, running water, picnic tables, and firepit.
You bring your own tent, sleeping bags, food, etc.
We are always close by for an emergency forgotten items or extra assistance. If you’re not sure about something, just ask, we’re here for you to have a peaceful get-away.
We have 673 private acres for the guests to explore. Bring your dirt bikes, mountain bikes, or hiking shoes. There is plenty of nature to explore. Beyond our private acreage we sit thousands of miles of forest service trails open to the public. We only ask that you are mindful of our other guests at their campsites.
We are on the ridge top of a mountain. Our weather is unpredictable. To an avid outdoors person you will love the ever changing conditions, but be prepared that some days we have strong winds and some days we have still air. We do get unexpected rain showers from time to time.
We are very dog friendly; so please bring your furry friends. But do let us know in advance so we know of their presence and keep them within a reasonable vicinity of you at all times so they do not worked up over other guests’ dogs staying on the property; as well as the fact that we are in the middle of the wilderness so there are predator animals. We have NEVER had an animal attack, but it’s just wise to be aware that it’s not just us living on this mountain....
