Two custom cabins / double Mountain View’s.
The big cabin has a queen bed and a large bathroom, refrigerator and a microwave.
The smaller cabin has two beds-1 single & 1 queen air mattress, which is very comfortable.
The bathroom in the big cabin can be accessed from the outside.
Both cabins are trimmed in barn wood from one of the original barns of the ranch.
The guest has free access to the 40 acres that the cabin is on. There is a horseshoe pit outfront, a fire pit next to the cabin, exceptional views and amazing stargazing at night.
Of course the guest has access to the cabin that is rented
The two cabins are located behind the Ranch House that is often rented as well so there could be people staying nearby… Just want to be clear on that:))

Staying at Cabin on the Prairie was the perfect weekend escape from the city. The small town vibes combined with the big time views and endless wildflowers surrounding the area immediately made me fee...l relaxed and peaceful. We enjoyed cooking our food on the outside stove and staying warm next to the fire while staring up at the endless sky filled with stars. The sunsets and sunrises were exceptional and took my breathe away. We hiked an amazing trail only an hour away called Dog Mountain that was super beautiful as well. I didn't want to leave and I'm already planning a trip back!

Father, Grandfather, Fly Fishing Guide, Lodge Owner - Got to enjoy the day and give back some way.
Definitely familiar with hosting people as my other job as a lodge owner is even more hands on with guests than any other events that I’ve hosted. I enjoy cooking and hanging out with guests when they fish with us, hiking, live music and new roads.
Aside from family love, I have a love affair with rivers, I have floated close to 200 watersheds from Tierra Del Fuego to Alaska:)

Columbia River
Goldendale sits on a fertile plateau north of the Columbia River between the windswept Columbia Hills and the pine-covered Simcoe Mountains of South-central Washington.
Dining At The Dirty Cowgirl
This awesome restaurant was recommended to us by our host and it didn't disappoint! We had the brisket, which was the special that night, and it was so good – best I've ever had. The restaurant was small, but the service was great and the food delicious!
Spirit Falls
A steep, unmarked and unmaintained trail down a rocky talus slope further protects the tranquillity of this beautiful place. The turquoise water pours 33 feet into an effervescent pool with an inaccessible cavern visible behind the falls.
Hiking At Dog Mountain
This hike truly had it all – beautiful forests, amazing wild flowers everywhere, and views of the Columbia River, Mount Hood and Mount St Helens. The hike is a six-mile round trip with 2800 feet of elevation and it's worth every step. Just be aware that on weekends between April 23 and June 12 (and Memorial Day) you must have a permit to hike there due to its popularity. If you don't have a permit, you can take their free shuttle, which drops you off and picks you up from three different locations – we did this and it was so simple and convenient.
Timberline Ski Resort
This ski resort stays open longer than any other ski resort in the PNW. With one of their lifts going up to 8,000 feet they are able to keep operations open a lot longer. We were lucky enough to come on the first day this lift was open for the season! It was so fun skiing on one of the most beautiful mountains in Oregon on this sunny blue bird day.
