HOUSE DETAILS
The house features an interior of natural materials, referencing the elements: Marble, Timber, Wool, Brass, Bronze. Materials are repeated many times throughout the home, creating a soft, soothing space, to truly relax and retreat. Furniture is soft and embracing, warm and cosy. Custom raw alpaca wool rugs soften the spaces, throws and skins adding depth.

Exclusive artwork, selected specifically for the home, takes you to another place. A large sculpture, imported from Venice, sits perfectly in the architecture, reaching into the clerestory windows.

A fully equipped kitchen & a host of our favourite cookbooks, will keep the budding chef entertained. Crisp tunes are provided by the powerful, wireless Bang & Olufsen music system.

Carefully selected fragrances, essential oils, and candles will adapt the space to any situation, and an ever-changing collection of books on nature, design and architecture will while away the hours. A TV/DVD player and range of games should keep boredom at bay.

A custom stone outdoor table will suit those who like to dine alfresco, and loungers are provided to ensure your tan gets some attention.

A native garden wraps the home, offering seclusion, and a lovely play of light as the afternoon sun hits the home.

Tea Tree Hollow is a mature, sophisticated retreat, for those who desire quality and relaxation - a home to truly escape to.

Tea Tree Hollow is a sanctuary amongst the trees. While the neighbours are not far away you feel that you may be the only people in Walkerville when you visit! From every window, including the beautif...ul landscape window in the dining room and kitchen area, you can see nature - branches and leaves swinging gently in the breeze. The property is well thought out for comfort and modern amenities, in a minimalistic style. Some dramatic and striking artwork hangs on the walls and is for sale if you are in the market for art. The couch and bed were comfortable and the fireplace was easy to operate and use and kept us cosy and warm over the King's birthday weekend, along with the blankets under the TV. We found Meeniyan charming with some fantastic food offerings, including a cafe called Moo's and especially Trulli Pantry and Pizza - it's an Italian oasis for a chilly Saturday afternoon. 'Trulli' the best garlic, rosemary and mozzarella pizza we've ever had, along with amazing sourdough and delicatessen offerings, great coffee, a cellar boasting local wines and gin and a gelato bar. The Fish Creek Hotel was lovely with good service and there is an IGA at Tarwin and at Meeniyan for supplies. We enjoyed driving around between the lush green paddocks with the cow-munities hanging about and passing by the River as the sun shot through the clouds. A weekend of peace and true quiet, cosy and convenient with prompt and clear communication from Dan about the how, what and where needed to get by. Thanks for a special weekend!

Very comfortable with a great garden outlook. A quiet retreat amongst the trees. The kitchen is well set up for the cooks and a neat ROK expresso maker for the daily brew. Close to all the best of Walkerville.

What a beautiful spot to relax after exploring all that South Gippsland has to offer! Great proximity to the Prom, Cape Liptrap, Venus Bay, Fish Creek, and a host of other attractions and adventures. ...The bath is absolutely divine and so relaxing after a hard day hiking. The home has everything you could possibly need, and the aesthetic is stunning. The lovingly compiled visitor guide was a highlight, and Dan's communication was excellent. Definitely recommend this as a cosy, comfortable, and relaxing base if you want to explore this beautiful part of Victoria's coastline.

I'm an avid traveller with a long bucket list! I love a good adventure, and dream of far flung places... A night in a tent is as memorable to me as a five star hotel...I believe to truly experience a new environment, you need to be fully immersed in it - that's led to some interesting experiences, sleeping on the deck of a yacht, under tarps in the Tasmanian wilderness, & hanging off a cliff face in Nepal... That is the essence of travel to me - immersive experience. I am a cyclist, a skier, an architectural enthusiast and a keen photographer. I escape the city every week for a new experience.

Walkerville Beach

Extremely secluded, Walkerville South is only accessible by lonely gravel roads and the lack of people ensures that facilities are at a bare minimum.

Walkerville North provides beautiful views across Waratah Bay to nearby Wilsons Promontory, and at low tide provides access to spectacular rock pools.

The gravel road that leads to Walkerville South ends with a similar boat ramp to that of its northern sister settlement, and a sheltered bay frequented in the summer by families swimming and fishing in the quiet pristine waters.

Walkerville Coastal Trails

Approximately 100 metres beyond the end of the boat ramp marks the beginning of a walking trail up the cliff that separates the two Walkerville settlements. This trail leads you through spectacular forests and little creeks stained brown by the tea tree (melaleuca) plants.

Surfing

Walkerville has a semi-exposed beach break with inconsistent surf. Northwest winds provide optimum conditions. Mixed ground and wind swells with best conditions generated from the southeast. Beware of rips conditions can be hazardous.

Cape Liptrap Lighthouse

We arrived shortly before sunset. With beautiful views from the point across the coastline and down to Walkerville. The walk from the carpark to Cape Liptrap lighthouse is super short, flat and easy.
Shell Service Station

Shell Service Station

If you need to fuel up, roll along to the local Shell service station a say G'day to Bob. He's a real Aussie gem. He’s owned the station for over 50 years. If you’re looking for a little insider info, he’s your man!
Pandesal Bakery

Pandesal Bakery

A true slice of country Australia with a delightful and delicious little bakery that came through with great coffee and tasty treats to get our day started right. There's also a wonderful organic and local produce store down the street to stock up on veggies and a cheeky vegan caramel slice or two. A cute variety of homewares stores to explore, with coffee in hand, was a nice way to spend the morning.
