Additional Information
Look for the big red mailbox with the row-boat-flower-bed marking our driveway! Parking is available anywhere on the gravel parts of the driveway or under the carport. The lockbox code will be sent with your confirmed reservation.
Once you settle in, watch for bald eagles flying by daily over the Puget Sound, or an occasional seal or river otter.
With newly improved beach access and a meditation deck --- you can enjoy coffee with a view or keep track of the tide charts for beachcombing. At low tide, you may see geoduck farmers working the farms on the neighboring beach properties -- in case you are wondering what all the nets or pipes are, it's just some local shellfish farming! Enjoy walking along the beach on low tides, and you may catch a glimpse of the majestic volcano Mt. Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) out to the right.
While the house does not have any stairs for entry, is not super accessible for wheelchairs, with narrow hallways. We do not have wheelchair-accessible beach access, but Tolmie state park nearby does.
Your host, Jess, is available by phone to help with anything when needed, or can come in person for emergencies.
It's best to have a car in order to stay here, since there are no amenities within short walking distance. There is (newly) Uber/Lyft to and from Lacey or Olympia.
- Shoes off inside please :) this helps so much with keeping the Sandy Beach soil outside. There is a shoe rack outside and in the hallway.
-Phone service is spotty
- WiFi is available
- We run on a well so please be conscious with water, especially in the dry summer months.
- Septic System in use, so please only flush bodily waste. We appreciate throwing all toilet paper away, when you remember!
- Use caution near the bank and on the beach, supervise your children (and yourself, especially late at night), the bank steps are steep and deck can occasionally be slippery.
- Please obey local burn bans in summer.
- Please bring your own wood for the fire pit (please do not burn wood from the property.)
- Please report all spills, accidents, breaks, etc so we can be sure to clean or replace items properly.
- Please treat our home as if it were your own, leaving it as you found it. <3

I have lived in Seattle (born and raised), San Francisco (SF State), New York, San Diego, and Olympia, WA. I love the outdoors and traveling. I'm most happy when I'm in the woods hiking, exploring, rowing, listening to music, and hanging with people I love. I am a food lover, dig local/sustainable farm to table, and enjoy a local farmer's market. An appreciator of art and design, I have my own quirky little style. I always try to leave the places I stay a little bit neater than when I got there (my mom taught me that's the way to be invited back!) All people are welcome at my little cabin // I'm a queer (queer + trans loving) host :) . It's so very nice to meet you!
