HOUSE DETAILS
The main bedroom and second bedroom both have comfy Queen beds with quality bedding and linen while the third bedroom has two long singles.

There are two bathrooms in the home including a bath in each. A nice rain shower in the master ensuite too. Towels are supplied, just BYO beach towels. You'll find the beach at the end of the street just a 3 minute walk until your toes are on the sand and an outdoor shower at the side of the house to wash off when you return.

There is a dedicated office space with reliable WIFI so ideal for those who need to work while they are away. The TV in the living room is a smart TV with access to Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime and Disney.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Smeg freestanding oven and gas cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and full sized fridge / freezer. A gas weber BBQ is also available on the front covered patio area. The pantry is stocked with some essentials including a selection of teas and coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper and paper towel. There is also a Nespresso compatible coffee pod machine with Pod Co. coffee pods.

The laundry includes a front loader washing machine and dryer.

We've recently installed reverse cycle ducted air conditioning throughout the house so you can keep warm in winter and cool in Summer. Each bedroom is on its own zone so you can adjust accordingly to your needs.

We are a strictly non-smoking property and no parties please.

Our home is on a corner opposite Conjola National Park and the outdoor entertaining area is at the front of the home and is not fenced. We often get kangaroos visiting us so if you are staying with small children be sure to keep an eye on them while they are outside.

Berrara is located in the middle of the Shoalhaven and is a very sleepy little town with not a lot in the way of shops. We have a local cafe in neighbouring Cudmirrah open for breakfast and lunch and the closest supermarket is in Sussex Inlet, 10 minutes drive away. If you are travelling from Sydney, we recommend stopping in Nowra on the way through at Nowra Fresh and Nowra Farmers Market - they have a really great range of fresh seafood, a deli and amazing fruit and veggies.

If you are looking for some retail therapy or fine dining options, the busier tourist towns of Milton and Huskisson are a short 30 minute drive away from us and are ideal for day trips.

What a lovely little place! So beautifully presented, and well equipped for a comfortable stay. All the little extras, like the little note, the bickies and wine on arrival, made us feel welcome. The ...layout of the house with bedrooms at one end and living areas at the other and the covered outdoor area, really works well.

The location is beautiful, surrounded by trees, and close to the beach, you can hear the waves. A short walk to the surf beach (a couple of minutes) or a short drive to the Inlet or back to Swan Lake are nice places to visit.

All in all, a wonderful place and we hope to be back again one day!

Scribbly Gums was the perfect spot for a relaxing escape from the city. Every detail in the house is beautifully thought through making the space feel incredibly cosy and comfortable. The gardens arou...nd the home are also so lovey to look out onto from all aspects.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved being able to walk down to the beach and over to the Cuddy cafe for coffee. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend Scribbly Gums for anyone looking for a beautiful beach getaway.

Kirbys Beach

Kirby's Beach is stunning and quieter than many in the area, so it's the perfect location for a scenic stroll. Set your alarm for a beautiful sunrise wake up.

Island Sushi

Sunny and Kaiki serve up some of the best poke I've had in one of the most unsuspecting locations, right by the Lakeside Cabins in Cudmirrah. In the colder months, you can even get homemade ramen served from Sunny and Kaiki's magical caravan hatch. Not to be missed!

Island Sushi

Opposite Swan Lake you'll find a cute pink and red caravan serving up delicious, authentic poke bowl sushi. Open Thurs - Sun for lunch - enjoy your sushi bowl under the gum trees with a nice view of the lake.

Cuddy Cafe

Cuddy Cafe is directly opposite Swan Lake and is the perfect stop after a lake or beach or bush walk. They do great coffee and are open early 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Woodfire pizza is available on a Fri and Sat night in peak season.

Standup Paddle On Swan Lake

Swan Lake is the ideal location for all abilities to stand up paddleboard. BYO your own board or hire one from Madeleine at Sussex Inlet Stand Up Paddle.

Lake Sundowners

Swan Lake offers a whole host of adventures including sailing, swimming, water skiing and fishing, but we played to our strengths and drank wine at sunset instead. Dotted around the edge of Swan Lake are a number of spots to sit and chill, so grab your crew and see off the day in style.
