Guest access
Hiking in the Gorge is famous for good reason and from the cabin you can drive to one of many hikes in the area, or just walk out the front door and hike just over an hour to Duncan Creek Falls.

The cabin is about 20 miles from both Stevenson, WA to the east or Washougal, WA to the west. Both are charming and offer unique dining and shopping. For the golfers in your party there is the 9 hole Beacon Rock Golf Course just a few miles to the west. For the fisherman the angling opportunities are endless.

Other things to note
**** The road coming down to the cabin is steep and gravel- drive slow ****
Firewood is provided, but we ask that you restock for the next guests. Also, please use only the minimum amount of kindling needed to get your fire started. You will find an axe or two in the basement closet if you wish to make kindling or split firewood.

- No shoes in the house please

We absolutely loved our stay at The Gorge Modern Cabin, which, btw, is anything but. It’s fully stocked with just about everything you need, it’s got a peaceful vibe, and even though it’s only a mile ...or so off a main road, it feels like in the middle of nowhere. The booking was easy, and the weekend vibes were even easier. Peaceful, quiet, and worth every moment.

Explore All 16 Glorious Acres Of The Gorge Modern Cabin Property

Not only is this one of the most aesthetically pleasing cabins that I've ever seen, the densely forested property that it sits on is just as spectacular! A rich ecosystem of old growth trees and car sized ferns offer hours of exploration for exercise or a photo walk! There are even trails direct from the front door that lead to waterfalls in the gorge itself!

Downtown Camas is only about 8 blocks and is surrounded by creeks, trails, and the mighty paper mill. Spend hours popping into wine bars, restaurants, antique shops, and even the old movie theatre. This town is full of old-timey charm.

Panther Creek The Classic Pacific Northwest Waterfall

One of the most unique and beloved waterfalls in all of the Pacific Northwest, Panther Creek Falls is an absolute must see in the Columbia River Gorge. Depending on the time of year, you may see up to 5 waterfalls spring from the same basaltic complex, cascading down through ancient moss and lichen. An elegant dance that makes for truly memorable photos!
