We had the most wonderful family holiday at The Pin Oak Chapel. The property is beautiful - picturesque surroundings to relax and enjoy time together. Our kids enjoyed saying Hi to the ponies and roasting marshmallows over the fire. We can recommend it highly enough!

Must a try place!
Very neat, welcoming and well look after property(s). Designed and landscaped nicely. Easy to enjoy as everything has been done very beautifully.
The flat landscape around the pro...perty made it easier to utilise for various age group, or just lazy city people who just missing out on greens and outdoors.
Netflix, fire place, clean, newly refurbished place. Beautiful scenery front and backyard, with adding ponies, cows and couple cute dogs like free nanny for any parents. Simply what a short city break is all about.
To add Rob and are best host ever!

Great long weekend. The property is between Mansfield and Mt Buller in a lovely rural spot. The hosts were great, and particular shout out goes to our canine hosts, who the kids are already missing!... We enjoyed riding bikes around the property, toasting marshmallows, feeding cows, fishing in the dam and local river, cooking together in our lovely accomodation, bushwalking at plain creek and a day at the snow. The kids are super keen to come back in summer for kayaking in the dam. Thanks Rob and Helen. :)

High Country Rivers
For some the lure of the High Country is not in our sweeping alpine vistas, but in the iconic mountain riversand lakes. The Goulburn, Jamieson, Howqua and Delatite Rivers flow through the picturesque countryside. Find a shady spot under a Willow for a picnic and cool off in the pristine waters in summer. Floating around on a lilo or tubing is a popular past time.
Fly Fishing
The Howqua River is a Victorian Heritage river and a fly fishing icon. On this stretch of water, billionaires tangle lines with local anglers. Beginners can learn the art of casting, lure-fishing and stream craft from experienced guides. While serious anglers can stake out a quiet spot beside a High Country stream or lake and test their fishing skills with fly, lure or bait. You might even glimpse a local fishing on horseback – word has it horses don’t scare off the fish.
Horse Riding
You’ll discover high mountain trails, icy mountain streams and the sense of peace that comes from bonding with your horse and the land. Feel the exhilaration of cantering through High Country clearings and enjoy the magical swirl of snowgums at sunset.
Summer Bushwalking
Go bushwalking in the High Country and you’ll feel the majesty of the Australian bush melt into your heart. The ancient rolling hills and towering eucalypts are unlike any other place on earth. Surrounded by State Forests and National Parks, Mansfield Mt Buller offers breath-taking hiking and bushwalking for all fitness levels. Bushwalks range in duration from under an hour to multiple days, but no matter how far you hike the tranquillity of the Australian bush is bound to ease worries and enliven the spirit.
Snow Sports
With over 300 hectares of skiable terrain at Mount Buller there is something to appeal to all levels of ability. Our runs range from the wide beginner’s slopes of Bourke St and Burnt Hut Spur, to the challenge of our black runs like Chamois.
