The project is a renovation of a 100 yr old brick tobacco kiln,
The lush internal green courtyard inside the house open to the hallway is all about getting light and warmth into the house through the thinner transparent skin during the day, but is zoned off during the night as the house contracts for warmth.
Enjoy a relaxing bath with view of both the internal garden and outside garden

The property of 1 acre consists of a grand garden, with lots of private seating, a large two car garage, and views of the rolling green hills of Gapsted.

I live on the Farm across the road from the Kiln , so I'm only a walk away if needed. But I give the tenants space and privacy.

Cortes Kiln is stunning! When you open the front door it feels like you’ve entered a secret garden. The architecture is so clever and everything is beautifully finished. The house is surrounded by 100... year old walnut groves a short walk down to the Oven River.
The first morning we woke up to fresh eggs and oranges at our doorstep, just in time for breaky.
We will definitely be returning . Thank you so much for everything

Cortes Kiln is a beautiful property, perfect for a winter long weekend getaway. Clean, cosy and very comfortable. We especially loved the animals on the farm and walking through the paddock towards the river. Ronaldo was super friendly and helpful, very responsive too!

The best spot for a cheese board and bottle of wine was at Gapsted Estate just up the road from our accommodation. There’s nothing like watching the sun go down over the grapevines and you can even take the rest of the bottle home!

The Falls are a popular destination for nature lovers and history buffs. The area was once the centre of one of the richest goldfield’s in Australia, where up to 8,000 prospectors camped along the banks of Spring Creek, in search of their fortune.
