I enjoyed my time staying in this unique and thoughtfully designed Tiny A-Frame. Nestled next to a bubbling creek, this quaint little cabin gave us the feeling that we were a world away. We shared man...y laughs each night as we prepared our camp dinner on the camp table, and delighted in sharing our coffee together each morning to the sound of waking birds and the trickle of the creek.
The cabin came stocked with all the essentials one could think of. It was outfitted with a camp kitchen, local coffee, a helpful guide book, and more. The bathhouse included a camp store for any missing gear or equipment. Lastly, the heated outdoor shower was such a treat!
This glamping cabin is a perfect location for a retreat setting, but also acted as a great home-base for our weekend adventures. We traveled to the South side of St. Helens to go on some hikes, popped into Longview for milkshakes at Burgerville, and even discovered Nutty Narrows - the legendary squirrel bridge through town!
I had so many inquires about my stay before I had even made it home! I would love to come back and visit this Tiny A-Frame again!

Abernathy Creek Park
Created by the confluence of two creeks as they flow towards the mighty Columbia River, this area has been closed off to vehicle traffic but remains a lovely and easy area to hike, explore, wade and swim! To access, park your vehicle in the gravel lot on Hiway 4 and from there you can access the park by walking to and through the gated access area.
Lake Sacajawea Japanese Gardens And Park
Lake Sacajawea is the pride and joy of Longview but the crown jewel of this community area is the Japanese Gardens. The Japanese Garden was the idea and design of former Longview Parks Superintendent Al George. After being inspired by the gardens he saw when he was stationed in Japan while in the Navy, George wanted to recreate the beauty back home. Wanting the garden to feel authentic, he studied Japanese garden design extensively and consulted extensively with Japanese gardeners. There are also kayak rentals at Lake Sacajawea.
Nutty Narrows
The Nutty Narrows Squirrel Bridge features historical monuments to the town of Longview, WA. It's a functioning suspension bridge designed to help neighboring squirrels travel across the road.
Buckets Of Margaritas
We found a great little neighbourhood Mexican joint called Maria's Place. A very no-frills, straightforward environment that takes its margaritas very seriously by serving them to you in a bucket glass. This brought us great joy and it was the perfect end to our adventurous day.
Milkshakes At Burgerville
Burgerville is a PNW staple known for locally sourced ingredients and seasonal favorites. Their milkshakes are top notch, and even feature dairy-free options!
Mt St Helens Visitor Center
The Mount St. Helens Visitor Center opened its doors to the public a few years after the monumental eruption of Mount St. Helens. Functioning as a gateway to the mountain, over 30 miles away, our goal is to educate visitors on the historical significance of the landscape before and during the eruption.
Outdoors, visitors can explore Silver Lake along the 0.6 mile-long trail, including boardwalks over the wetland where a variety of aquatic plants and migratory waterfowl can be viewed at different times of the year.
