If you need a little oceanside solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Wildwood Studio is a perfect retreat.
Nestled into a large acreage on the southeast corner of Vashon Island, this cozy and rustic barn apartment is a precious space to unplug from the world. The inside is outfitted with equine and farm-themed decor, and Starbuck the mini horse is a frequent companion outside the studio window in the nearby paddock.
Beach access is just a short walk away, where if conditions are clear, you'll be treated to views of Mt Rainier over Seattle in the distance. Several oceanside and forested trails just off the property, and a short drive away, make it a fantastic location to slow down and reconnect with our beautiful Pacific Coast surroundings....

Point Robinson Lighthouse is a beautiful 10-acre park and historical/marine conservancy that provides plenty of beach walking and opportunities to spot wildlife in and out of the water. The old lighthouse, built-in 1915, is still operational and would offer tours inside before the pandemic (this has been temporarily suspended.) The beach is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise or sunset!...
Numerous entry points and intersecting trails allow for quiet hikes of varying lengths, either in the forest, on the beach, or a mixture of both. Trails are horse and bike-friendly! Beach views from the bluff are absolutely incredible. We recommend downloading a GPS map of the trails so you know exactly where you are, and where you're going....
Walking just outside the studio, you're able to take a stroll along some of the trails on the property. The landscape is beautiful and a few minutes of walking brings you to a bluff where you can spot Mt Rainier on a clear day. From here you can go down towards the beach and explore, relax and take in the views....
