Relax and Recharge
We wanted to get away somewhere peaceful and cosy, and this was just what we were looking for.
Although it is categorised as a tiny home, we were very surprised at how spacious it was when we stepped foot in the door. The layout is well designed and crafted, and it had everything we needed for a smooth and joyful stay. We especially loved the concept of their compostable toilet, don't doubt it till you try it. The space felt especially cosy waking up the following morning as the bedroom view opens up to the surrounding farmland and rolling hills. The weather was overcast and rainy which added to that cosiness.
Gudula was a lovely, informative host and kindly provided us with fresh farm eggs from her own chickens. This made for a nice light breakfast before we headed out to do some wine tasting. We chose to take a scenic drive into Berry to check out Silos, and we were not disappointed. The staff were kind, knowledgable and most of all the wine and cheese were phenomenal. Be sure to grab a few bottles for the evening.
We spent the rest of the day wandering around the main street in Kangaroo Valley, buying lollies and ice cream from the well-stocked candy shop, grabbing snacks from the General store, shopping around for souvenirs and clothes, and fuelling up with one of the best coffees I've come across at the General Cafe. The evening gifted us with an incredible sunset, which paired well with a bottle of wine. We sat on the porch till dark and took in the view.
There is so much to do in the area, with something for everyone. Gudula provided us with a lot of great local knowledge and made sure we had what we needed for a memorable stay. We just wished we had more time, but we honestly just enjoyed being on the property, it felt like home away from home but with fewer distractions. 11/10.

Things We Did
- Winery
- Café
- Town
Silos provided us with some of the best wines that we've had. The staff are kind, knowledgable and were able to have a laugh with us. We couldn't pass up the cheese board and nor should you!

Enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat at Maddisons. This cafe is built in a restored heritage-listed bank.
Find local cafes, a general store and even a lollie shop in the heart of Kangaroo Valley.
