The Peninsula Redefined

"It is so airy and bright!". These were the first words Paula said when we arrived at the Hidden Gem. As soon as we settled in we went out to check our favourite nature show: the sunset. But first, of course, our daughter had to try the trampoline we had in the backyard. Loads of fun!

Our host Leonie (aka the legend) told us to check a small beach with picturesque bathing boxes and we ended up having an amazing family time, disconnecting from city life and reconnecting with each other and nature.

After we had a delicious pizza nearby we headed back to the Hidden Gem. Before going to bed, our little one had so much fun playing and reading in the children's room, which was lovely to watch. As the night came in Paula and I decided to light the outdoor fire pit to have some wine, stare at the stars and enjoy the present moment.

When we woke up the next morning we went to get some fresh bread from the local bakery and had brekkie in the cozy dining room and caught ourselves reflecting on what a different experience we were having: no rush, local vibes and accommodation that has everything needed to create family memories. The Mornington Peninsula got redefined.

It's the bay beach at the end of Flinders St. Lovely family friendly beach with nice walk through the teas trees and plenty of cute bathing boxes. There was no one there so we could have our own moment! The sunset was unbelievable.

This place earned a spot in my heart. The beer and food are excellent and the atmosphere is great. The indoor area has a nice fire pit with a cozy sofa in front of it. Outdoor, the beer garden is beautiful and they have several reserved areas (stable) where you can fit your whole crew in.

The property has two fire pits, one indoor and one outdoors. They are perfect to enjoy a wine with locally produced cheese and contemplate the starry night. The accommodation provides everything you need to light it up: firewood, sticks, and fire starters. Visit one of the several cellar doors around and enjoy the moment.
