A Traveller's Journal
Adventure in Red Hill South, Mornington Peninsula, VIC, AU
As soon as we walked through the beautiful, stained-glass doors, we found ourselves lost in a traveller's journal. We discovered a new story at every turn; a keyhole in the wood panelling, hand-laid pottery tiles, 150-year-old gates from India and other items that have been collected and curated to create The Tipsy Gypsy Wagon.
Almost off-grid, we were able to reset with slow nights by the fire as we listened to the rain on the roof, while yoga and warm tea filled our mornings. As the skies cleared, we were able to explore the surrounding landscapes, following the lush winding roads to freshly brewed coffee, local produce and spectacular views of the peninsula. Throughout our stay, we felt an overwhelming sense that this tiny home was built with love and care every step of the way, and with each new visitor a little more was added to the story. Anna has created a beautiful escape where your dreams meet reality.

Start your morning off right with a dip in the geothermal, mineral-rich water at the Peninsula Hot Springs. Pool hop your way to the top of the hill and you’ll be left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Planted over 40 years ago, this 3-metre-high hedge maze will have you going in circles! Hint: When you reach the pond and you think you’re finished, you’re definitely not. Trust us.
Explore the wild, rocky landscape of Cape Schanck, following the boardwalk down to Pulpit Rock. For an equally stunning view, head up to the lighthouse and take in the scenery from above.
Stop in at the Red Hill Cellar & Pantry and grab a hot breaky to go. With a huge variety of local produce, there's definitely something for everyone.
