We pushed open a big, green gate and looked to the left to see two beautiful white horses trotting towards us. Instantly, we understood this to be a special place. A gorgeous barn towered overhead as we rounded the driveway, giving way to a welcoming white house.

The home was warm and thoughtfully curated with interesting and beautiful antiques, while the light streaming through the kitchen window led us to look out across a pond surrounded by oak trees. We made a pitcher of sangria and spent hours on the deck that evening, enjoying the lush gardens of happy native plants surrounding the house. The cedar hot tub was perfection after a long day, and we slept soundly among the most luxurious fluffy pillows and blankets.

Our days were spent cooking meals in the bright kitchen, hiking around the property, playing with the farm dog, and feeding the horses. The house also happens to be less than 30 minutes from both Silver Falls and Abiqua Falls, which are well worth a visit. I would definitely come back to experience the beauty of this property alone; looking out the bedroom windows, to sloping fields bathed in pink sunset warmth, was an instant dose of pure relaxation.
