Story by Jessie Brinkman
A Countryside Romance
Adventure in Ruffy, High Country, VIC, AU
Our welcome to Maggie's Lane Barn House came as we turned off the freeway, climbing further into the quiet hills and away from the rush of the city. We were greeted by the smells of eucalypts and winding roads - the barn is secluded from the world and overlooks endless valleys.
Mornings were spent eating croissants with homemade quince and jams left by our hosts. Or reading books on the porch and getting distracted by cloud-spotting and listening to bird calls. The hours would melt away as we found swimming holes and local eateries with which to fill our bellies with local produce.
This place will leave you feeling rejuvenated, and will fill you with a peace you didn't know you were searching for.
