Tiny Coastal Getaway

Arriving in the late afternoon to Coastie Valley Tinyhouse we were greeted by golden hues sinking below the valley of gum trees. Quick to settle in, we popped a bottle of wine and enjoyed a glass on the deck before heading out to Six String Brewery for dinner.

The next day we woke to find the Tinyhome was filled with warm morning light, opening up the space with the concertina window we enjoyed breakfast at the kitchen bar. On our way out for the day, we stopped at Park Life for a coffee and blueberry muffin before checking out the Marine Discovery Centre next door. While it is kid-focused, we also learnt some fun facts about Port Jackson sharks, explored the whale, bird and heritage exhibits and observed the fish and shark tanks. After learning some cool things we decided it was time to enjoy the sunshine. With many coastal walks to choose from we decided on a short walk to Kanning Cave was the best choice, offering something a little different than what we had done before. It was an easy stroll passing by native flowers, white scribbly gums and sandstone rock walls. Eventually we made our way to a large cave where you could crawl inside. After admiring the cave we then made our way back to our Tinyhouse to relax for the afternoon.

The Coastie Valley Tinyhouse is a well designed space with cozy nooks to cuddle up and read a book or option to open up the large doors that flow onto the deck for more freedom to move. Every window offers mesmerising views of layered blues and dark forest greens over the valley, making you feel worlds away from the busyness of life. A standout feature is the outdoor bath and shower, we highly recommend filling up the tub for sunset and watch dusk turn into night enjoying some star gazing and taking in the peacefulness of the property.

Short and easy loop walk starting from Honeman's picnic area. We followed a clear track passing by native flowers, white scribbly gums and sandstone rock walls. Eventually we made our way to a large cave where you could crawl inside. After admiring the cave we followed the track taking us past a mud brick house and back to the picnic area....

We stopped in at Parklife Coffee for a small snack and coffee. The park overlooks the protected Terrigal Lagoon, with amazing bird life and native plants, and includes a children’s playground for parents to enjoy their coffee while watching the kids play. Alongside the cafe is The Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre. While it is kid-focused we also learnt some fun facts about Port Jackson sharks, explored the whale, bird and heritage exhibits and observed the fish and shark tanks. A great educational experience for adults and kids!...
