Coast and Connection

Where the wild ocean meets rugged clifftops and rolling green hills you'll find Kilcunda - or as the locals know her; simply 'Killy'. At her edge, this quaint seaside hamlet overlooks wide sandy beaches that collide with shallow rock pools extending into the sea.

Breathing in lungs full of fresh salty air my breath is again taken as I gaze out at the endless white-caps rolling towards a backdrop of lofty sanddunes; a sight that stretches the length of the Bunorong Coast as far as the eye can see. I'm reminded again of what a magic little location Killy is, one that holds space so beautifully for our architectural creation of a Riparide stay. 'Corver's Rest' is a minimalist beach shack that's got it all!
Arriving here I fell for the floor-to-ceiling picture windows that allowed the winter sun to drench every aspect. Sliding into the deep bath with a view to a sapphire blue sea I soaked in the bliss of the sunshine and the silence. With dual living spaces, this incredible owner-designed-and-built abode offers the feeling of serenity and spaciousness, despite its smaller footprint - room for both mindful time alone and connection with one another.

The bright and airy alfresco area that flanks the rear lends itself to sunset yoga or a cosy BBQ with your besties under the pontoon lights. Our little fam snuggled up beside the outdoor fire pit to toast marshmallows beneath the starriest of skies - before retreating to one of the comfy couches for a movie on the big screen.

When the day began again we were blessed with a myriad of nearby beaches to explore and the perfect jumping-off point for a spot of surfing. The sun, sand, and sea were a much-needed solace for the weekend; a refresh and reconnect, a coming home to me...
