Drift Away
Adventure in Walkerville, Gippsland, VIC, AU
We arrived late Friday afternoon at the gorgeous Driftwood Coastal Cottage, with with the sunset painting the sky. We got the indoor fire started and settled in for the night with a glass of red and some choccy provided by the lovely hosts.
Set amongst farmland, but super close to the best of the Prom, we had the perfect base for exploring. Our adventures at Mount Oberon and Squeaky Beach were amazing - we checked out Squeaky Beach and enjoyed a picnic before returning to the cottage for a BBQ and hang by the firepit.
The charming vintage bathroom from the 1950s featured a clawfoot bath/shower and was filled with eco-friendly products, making it a standout. We particularly enjoyed the bifold doors that led to a covered deck, complete with a heated outdoor clawfoot bath perfect for stargazing!
Sunday morning we set off to explore some more beaches and check the surf, we found a cute little cafe along the way for lunch, before heading home with hearts full of joy and excitement.

We spent most of Saturday exploring Mt Oberon with the most incredible views at the summit, the track is well maintained and not too difficult, we even seen and Echidna
Described as one of the best beaches in the world, we had to see for ourselves, we took some of the equipment from the accomodation and played a few games and had a picinc for the afternoon
This cute little cafe/bistro is in Inverloch about 1/2 hour from the cabin. Yummy food and great spot for lunch.
We went to Venus bay to check out the amazing beach and surf.
