Luxe Villa Salt, Sand & Sea

Arriving during golden hour, the swim spa was calling my name. I wasted no time and plunged right in! I dived, swam, and watched the sun dip below the horizon in my delightful 33-degree pool, feeling grateful for such a moment. I think I fell in love right then and there.

I woke up feeling rested and bright as a daisy! I hit the button on the remote, and all the shutters in the sunroom rose to greet the day. It felt like the outdoors had come inside. I could hear the birds singing their melodies as I joined in with my own. After yoga on the deck, I enjoyed some breakfast and coffee, gearing up for an adventurous day exploring the wild beaches of Venus Bay.

The beaches, numbered 1 through 5 along Venus Bay, were all within a short walk from the deluxe villa. I visited each one and was eager for a dip, but the ocean looked wilder than my hair that day, so I settled for dipping my toes and strolling along the sand. At most of the beaches, I was the only person in sight!

After a day of embracing my inner beach babe, I settled in for a quiet night with Ben & Jerry’s and a documentary about the wonders of the world. I felt like I was living in one of those wonders, even if the luxe villa didn’t make it onto the big screen. It must be a hidden gem yet to be discovered, and here I was, making that discovery!

I started my morning with a plunge in the pool, then showered because my hair needed some TLC. The shampoos smelled good enough to eat, and I had everything I needed to feel right at home. I grabbed a takeaway coffee and drove 20 minutes to Inverloch, excited to visit some swim beaches. Along the esplanade, you can swim just about anywhere! The sun was shining, and a few others were out enjoying the day. I dipped my toes in the water and sipped my coffee all morning long—pure bliss.

When low tide arrived, I made my way to Caves Beach! I found a couple of rock pools for a refreshing dip and followed my heart as I explored the caves. I drove up Cape Paterson-Inverloch Road, which boasts so many beautiful beaches to check out! I loved Shack Bay for snorkeling and swimming, but I fell deeply in love with the textures and colors of the rocks at Twin Reefs. I sat there for a while, reflecting on how beautiful life can be. I mean, I’ve fallen in love twice in two days! It’s all pretty lovely. What a time to be living. What a time to be alive.

Stunning beaches from No.1 - 5 beach. Long stretches of seaside and I had most of the beaches to myself. I wanted to go for the dip although the ocean looked wild! No.2 Beach is a short walk from the Villa.

Only at low tide you can access this spot and the caves. I highly recommend some good walking shoes and there will be spots into the caves you'll need to get your feet wet! I discovered a few rocks pools here too for a little fresh plunge with a ocean view!

There's a look out from Twin Reefs although you can also go exploring down on the rocks and beach. I love this part the most. So many gorgeous textures and colours in the rocks. Like rock art created by the ocean!
