Solo Hide & Seek
Adventure in Moss Vale, South Coast, NSW, AU
Feeling pretty hungry, I stopped at a funky little café before heading to my Hideout in Moss Vale. It was a truly delightful experience! The Studio embraced the idea of trusting the chef to create something amazing for you. I set aside my trust issues and dove in wholeheartedly, and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint!
Arriving at my tiny home, Hideout 2.0, where the horses roamed freely, I felt a wave of peace wash over me. There’s something magical about fresh country air filling your lungs. The abode was quite secluded, surrounded by tall pine trees, making it feel like a true escape. The tiny adobe had everything I needed, including no phone reception. This disconnection from the outside world allowed me to reconnect with myself—exactly what this earth angel needed.
I lit the outdoor fire while the horses ambled over to say hello. I placed some cobs of corn on the grill above the flames and chatted with the horses about my day. They seemed to have had a similar experience: full bellies, warm hearts, and a gallop in their step! That morning, I set out to chase some waterfalls, and the adventure getting there was thrilling! I tried to make my way down to the bottom of the falls, but when I reached a precarious edge, I decided to turn back. I was a bit bummed since I had envisioned floating in a waterfall daze all afternoon, but I value my life. Ha!
Afterward, I returned to the Hideout for lunch and did some yoga on the deck before indulging in a cheeky afternoon nap. #welovenaps Kate, the host, told me about a nearby winery that was scrumptious, so I thought I’d check it out. Once again, I was not disappointed! I especially enjoyed their award-winning pickles—honestly, the best darn pickle I’ve had in a long time!
I strolled back to my tiny stay and dove into a long, hot shower. The water cascaded gently, just like the sun that evening. I wrapped myself in a cozy robe, made a cup of sleepy tea, and settled in for the night, journaling about my day. I left with a sense of stillness in my mind, feeling like I could take on the world. Watch me fly!

Found a funky cafe called "The Studio" which has a creative menu where you gotta trust the chef to create you something amazing to eat! There's options of "something small" all the way through to "feed me chef" that's bound to not leave you hungry! I also had a mocca which was made with real chocolate I found at the bottom of my cup! And yes indeed I got it all out! Awesome vibe. Baked goods too.
Super local little winery called 'Dawning Day Wines ' with delicious wines to try as well as spirits annnnnnd award winning pickles! Even if you aren't a pickle fan like me, its worth a try!
Also, they have a cute dog.

Its an adventure getting there including crossing the top of the falls as the water passes over the road way! Easy walk to view falls from car park. Great picnic area too.
I did attempt to get down to the falls although the recent rain and wash aways, made things quite dangerous! So I only got half way and turned back cos I value my life. ha! Pretty awesome spot!
Heaps of different flowers about and keep your eyes open for yellow-tailed black cockatoos that roam the area!
