The Fruits of Life Rollin’ Solo

It was a long travel day for me on this fine summer day, so I decided to take a stroll along ‘The Entrance’ at sunset before arriving at my accommodations. It felt wonderful to move around and take deep breaths along Long Jetty.

Tumbi Orchard stay featured an open-plan dining, kitchen, and lounge area. A thoughtful welcome gift of passionfruits, basil, mint, nuts, and homemade damper greeted me as I entered the modern abode, all gathered from the garden surrounding the property. There were two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and one very impressive bathtub fit for a queen. It was the kind of self-care I was looking for, and there was no one to play rock-paper-scissors with over which room we’d get.

I showered to wash the day away, enjoying the lovely body washes and moisturizers that filled the bathroom. This stay had thought of everything! I wrapped myself in a robe with a cup of tea and settled in for a feel-good movie night.

The next morning, I slept in and made myself some eggs on homemade damper with fresh basil. It was absolutely divine and easily made my top five best things I tasted that week! I practiced yoga on the deck and then took a morning walk up to Crackneck Point before heading to the beach for some sweet vitamin D by the sea. I swam and floated in the ocean, watching some adorable dogs dig for treasures in the sand. What life-loving legends! #welovedogs

I meandered back to my cozy stay and heard the bathtub calling my name! I indulged in bubbles and watched the rest of the day drift by. Oiled up from head to toe, I prepared a delicious platter for dinner using some of the fresh produce from the orchard. The passion in the passionfruits was beyond amazing, and though I'm usually a big sharer, I relished having an entire platter and space just for myself.

I journaled my grateful heart out before snuggling into the deluxe linen that night. Sometimes, I get so caught up in my busy life that it’s nice to sit still and reflect on how blessed I truly am. It’s a beautiful life I’ve created, and moments like this allow me to appreciate it.

I woke up with peace in my heart from a restful sleep. My body felt lighter, reminiscent of those moments floating in the sea’s saltwater yesterday. I polished off another round of fresh eggs and made myself a takeaway coffee from the fancy machine. I wandered the orchard, exploring all the possibilities of fruits yet to come, and wondered about my own future too.

I gave thanks to the luxurious hideaway for keeping me safe and warm, leaving with a smile as I walked down the driveway. This little solo getaway was truly something my soul needed, and I felt so pleased with myself for prioritizing my own well-being. After all, we all need to pause and enjoy the fruits of life from time to time, don’t we?

I didn't get the cracking sunset I was hoping for although the view was still amazing and the extra bubbles helped! It was a time to relax and fall deep into my own world which we all need sometimes

Weekends are bonkers around the beach area Tumbi Umbi, although I found Forresters Beach to be the least busiest and dog friendly too!

You can drive right up to Crackneck Point lookout although I parked at the bottom of the hill and walked along Wyrrabalong Coastal Walking track. Clear, easy walk.

The abode is surrounded by a fruit orchid! So I went gathering for passionfruits, nuts, fresh basil and mint leaves for my G&T. T'was a great addition to my cheese platter!
