Livin' life in our own Bubble

Arriving a little early to check in, Caz and I zipped over to Agnes Falls—just minutes from our Bubble stay. You could hear the roar of the waterfall from the car park, and after a hop, skip, and jump, we were standing in front of it, feeling both the fierce energy and an unexpected sense of calm. It was the perfect prelude to stepping into our own little world—our bubble.

To reach the main living space, we passed through one door into a small kitchen, then another to enter the bubble itself. Both doors couldn't be open at the same time, or—poof!—no more bubble. Inside, rainbow light reflections danced along the walls, bouncing with our voices as we sang and 'koo-wee’d' for the sound effects. The curved walls played tricks on our eyes, making us think we were closer than we were. It was trippy, surreal—like being a goldfish in a very glam fishbowl. And I was lovin’ it like a fangirl at a pop concert.

The interior was minimal but had everything we needed: a huge comfy bed, a kitchenette, a sitting area with binoculars, and a bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet. That evening, we sat outside watching the sunset melt into the view of Wilson’s Prom, then floated back into our toasty bubble as night fell and the stars took center stage. We spent hours lying on our backs, stargazing from inside, occasionally distracted by our own reflections—especially in our matching PJs.

The next morning, we headed off to Wilson’s Prom after a local birdie tipped us off about a secluded beach. Arriving at Fairy Cove, we had the place to ourselves—diving into the ocean like mermaids, climbing massive boulders, sneaking in naps, and soaking up the sun. As we returned to our bubble just as the sun dipped below the horizon, Caz got a little hangry, so we grilled up a feast in the kitchen hut and passed the time whale watching.

With full bellies and sleepy eyes, we dozed off inside our bubble, looking out for shooting stars. Morning brought a slow, gentle start—coffee in hand, gazing out from the bubble, soaking up the last moments. Before leaving, we gave our bubble a heartfelt hug goodbye and set off on our next adventure.
