Snowy Peaks & Sunset Soaks
Adventure in Hikumutu, Ruapehu, NZ
We spent the week in a cozy vintage caravan just outside Taumarunui, nestled beside two curious alpacas and only 30 minutes from Mt Ruapehu. Most days we hit the mountain skiing, snowball fights, and soaking in those epic alpine views. Evenings were for sinking into the outdoor hot tub under the stars, surrounded by peaceful countryside. The caravan had everything we needed: a comfy bed with an electric blanket, outdoor kitchenette, eco friendly bathroom and a covered deck for sunset wine. Though it’s near a road, we barely saw a car, so peaceful. This is the perfect off-grid escape for couples craving nature, adventure, and a touch of charm. Make sure to bring a good book or some cards to make the most of the peacefulness when not adventuring! We’ll definitely be back.
