Once the local post office, this beautifully restored home in Wandiligong blends history with country luxury. The high ceilings and plush beds made it instantly welcoming, while the cosy kitchen — complete with coffee machine and views of the rolling hills — became our favourite morning spot.

Days moved slowly here: coffees in the garden, bocce on the grass, and shaded lunches under the old tree. When we felt like venturing out, we wandered to 5 Acres for brunch or the Wandi Pub for dinner, then walked it off on nearby trails.

Evenings were peaceful and star-filled, the kind that make you forget your phone. We left feeling grounded, rested, and quietly grateful for the simplicity of slow country days.
