Soakin' in Stillness & Nature

I spent an entire afternoon submerged in a deep luxury bathtub watching blue wrens dance past a wall of glass. The water wrapped around me warm and weightless holding my body in complete stillness. Eucalyptus and salt drifted in through open windows. The bush outside moved gently on its own terms. Time slowed. Thoughts softened. The world beyond Venus Bay quietly disappeared.

The eco living two storey loft sat gently within the landscape not interrupting it but belonging to it. Surrounded by native Australian bush the home smelled of warm timber leaves and clean coastal air. Large windows wrapped around the house offering uninterrupted views of Australian natives from every angle. Birds became constant companions their calls weaving through the space. Grey kangaroos passed through without urgency. Echinacea bloomed quietly nearby.

Downstairs the open plan kitchen dining and lounge space flowed together with ease. Cooking eating and resting all happened within the same light filled room. The kitchen felt thoughtful and intentional designed with care and respect for the environment. Every detail felt considered calm and low impact. The lounge invited slow afternoons reading and listening to birdsong while sunlight shifted gently across the floor. Upstairs the open bedroom space felt like a peaceful lookout suspended within the trees. Mornings arrived gently with filtered light and cool fresh air brushing the skin.

Each morning began on the front verandah with breakfast and coffee in hand. The smell of salt and native flowers lingered as the birds sang their morning chorus. Everything felt slow intentional and calm. So comforting to just be.

Venus Bay’s beaches carry a sense of untouched wildness. At Beach No. 5 I walked along the shoreline as the sun dipped low. The air was crisp and salty. Sand cooled beneath bare feet. The sky softened into gold and pink. The ocean stretched endlessly. The wind eased. The world felt still as if it had stopped spinning. The sunset here was something from out of this world... I got lost in her beauty.

This stay was more than a getaway. It was a return to the senses. A deep exhale. A place to recharge and be fully submerged in nature where calm settled in and nothing asked anything of me.
