Rolling hills that appeared painted in gold surrounded me as I wound my way up the picturesque driveway of Villa Minto, the sun setting in my rear view. Arriving at the cutting in the rocky hillside my breath was taken in an instant by the distant mountain views and a field of colour in the property's very own flower farm just below. As the sun dipped out of view and filled the sky with crimson hues I took a seat on the villa's sweeping verandah and inhaled the peacefulness of it all. A wedge tail eagle soared high above; the silence of these hills was captivating.

Villa Minto, on the outer reaches of the Yarra Valley, is unexpected luxury paired with gorgeous architectural design. Across our weekend a soft breeze billowed white sheer drapes into the room, revealing the floor to ceiling windows that kept my eyes glued to the view. A lux king bed, a double cloud shower, herbal teas and fresh blooms aplenty amplify the romance in this space, but it was the complimentary invite to 'Gather and Bloom' that really topped it off.

Alongside our exclusive all-weekend access to the Bloom Into You Farm, we were gifted the opportunity to attend the farm's weekly floral celebration. With Prosecco in hand we wandered the field to a soundtrack of laid-back tunes, mindfully picking bouquets of blooms to take home. We laid out a picnic rug to sprawl upon in the evening light and devour an incredible grazing platter put together by the hosts.

As the sun set on another delightful evening we made our way to the Villa's private fire pit area to toast marshmallows and count shooting stars in the clearest sky I've seen in a long time. If you're after a truly divine treat-of-a-stay you'll definitely find it here in Flowerdale.
