Rainforest Experience
Adventure in Foxground, South Coast, NSW, AU
The Lyrebird House was the perfect getaway to experience the slow pace of the rainforest. No alarm clock was needed — the birds did the job. There was no rush here; the coziness of the place made us feel at home from the moment we stepped inside. From our morning coffee beneath the canopy to an evening glass of wine by the old fireplace, every moment felt in harmony with nature. We felt wonderfully remote, yet still close to all the exciting adventures waiting nearby. This place is filled with peace and groundedness.

With direct access from Werri Beach Car Park, this pool is the perfect place to swim if the swell is too big at the beach. Watch the waves crashing against the rocks around you, and enjoy the stunning views of the bay and surrounding cliffs!
Starting in Gerringong, this walk links the neighbouring town of Kiama via a stunning 6-kilometre track. From the clifftops, enjoy endless views over the vast ocean. Well-marked and accessible, it doesn’t require any bushwalking experience, but on a hot day—and depending on your fitness level—it may take around three hours to complete. Make sure to bring snacks and water!
As well as serving delicious hot drinks, you’ll find beautiful handmade ceramics to take home as a souvenir. With inspiring coffee books to browse, it’s the perfect spot for a cosy break during your adventure!
This short but steep walk will take you through the forest to a peaceful creek with a few small waterfalls. Slow down, breathe, and let the green surroundings fill your heart. Watch the leaves gently moving in the light breeze. Isn’t this what you came for?
