Cabin Cape Schanck is a beautifully restored 1980s cabin, tucked away on the edge of the National Parklands on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula. We loved the warm interior, with its natural timber, retro touches and greenery. It felt incredibly inviting and made it so easy to slow down and relax.
The thoughtful touches made the cabin feel especially homely, from the homemade granola and coffee station to the fresh locally grown strawberries! It’s clear that a lot of thought and care is put into the space by the lovely hosts.
We found the kitchen perfect for entertaining, and with so many incredible local producers nearby, we were spoiled for choice and happily spent our stay feasting, wining and dining. (We recommend Hawkes Farm for some fresh produce and local goodies, which is just down the road from the cabin!).
We also loved making use of the outdoor deck and garden, before cosying up by the fireplace in the evenings with a hot choccie!
The location is perfect for exploring all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer, with beautiful nature and coastal scenery right on the doorstep. We couldn’t visit the area without making our way to the iconic Cape Schanck Lighthouse, and we also explored parts of the stunning Two Bays Walking Track. It was the perfect balance, spending our days in nature before returning to the comfort of the cabin.
