Hot Tub Glamper beneath the stars
Adventure in Howes Creek, High Country, VIC, AU
Atop a hill, beside a lake, surrounded by mountains and beneath a canopy of stars once night falls, there lies 'Facta' - a happy little glamper with a luxurious wood-fired hot tub to boot!
Arriving at this glorious stay in the rolling green hills of Howes Creek is a little adventure in itself. From the welcome book at the gate we were led up the dirt track and down the other side where the land opened out to reveal our stay. Instantly we let go of the week's worries and took a breath of fresh country air, marveling at the 180 degree views stretching out before us.
It wasn't long before the gentle crackle of the wood fire was coupled with the sound of steaming hot water as it bubbled into the tub, and our soak session was ready. The overwhelming feeling here is simplicity; a fire, a space to bathe and a luxurious bed to lay to rest. From both the glamping tent and the hot tub we had front row seats to the majesty of the 60+ acre property and Lake Eildon beyond. Despite being only a short drive to the Alpine hub of Mansfield and it's country pubs and caffeine fixes, up on the hill we felt a million miles away.
Built to have as light as touch as possible on the environment our little glamping stay for the weekend was 100% off-grid with solar soaking up the sun's rays to power the kitchenette and the delightful shower and loo-with-a-view out back.
Created with intention yet letting nature speak so beautifully for itself, Facta Glamping is a stay for the memory books. A place I'll be dreaming about until we return...
