Glamping Amongst the Trees
Adventure in Trafalgar South, Gippsland, VIC, AU
Off on a best friend adventure, we turned right onto Sunny Creek Rd and watched as the landscapes transformed from Australian bush to a tropical rainforest. Mirador Springs greeted us with a secluded Bedouin bell tent sitting amongst the trees.
Set high on the Strzelecki Ranges overlooking Mt Baw Baw we were instantly immersed in the tranquil atmosphere and the dancing butterflies. This boho glamping tent is decked out with a queen bed, plush robes, electric blanket, heating, fridge, coffee machine and a private outdoor BBQ area making for a spectacular romantic retreat or BFF getaway with all the zen vibes.
With 15 acres of botanical gardens and winding paths, we spent our days in this enchanted labyrinth exploring the many stunning sceneries, painting away the afternoon and enjoying a picnic by the natural spring. We picked apples from the orchard for the three cheeky donkeys who stole my heart; Billy, Blossom and Mumma Bear, and for Bella the goat, well she likes bread.
By sunset, we treated ourselves to the most magical free-standing bath, tucked in a private glasshouse, then rugged up in robes and fell asleep to rustle of nature. Completely isolated, Mirador Springs was an unforgettable hidden paradise.

Things We Did
- Local produce
- Lake
- Walk

Driving along the M1 from Melbourne, you will pass the quaint shopping strip of Yarragon. Break up the drive by stopping at the bakery for lunch (salad rolls were a winner) and take your time weaving through the impressive gift shop.

When we first stumbled upon this private lake we were utterly silent and in awe. A nostalgic wave washed over us because it felt like we had somehow seen this before in a movie. We cooked up a feast on the BBQ and enjoyed it by the water, making for the most peaceful and extraordinary experience.
Only a 10-minute drive from the property, the main town of Trafalgar is a must. We hit up the local op shop to find many goodies, and treated ourselves to a coffee and the delightful Thyme Out Café – their coffee is Melbournian approved!

The windy drive up to Mirador Springs is breathtaking. Take it in with a hike down and admire the blends of native foliage.
Expansive lawns, winding paths, tiered walkways, natural spring lake, extensive orchard and stunning views are all remarkably entwined through this 15 acre property. Try not to get lost in this hidden paradise, or do.
