Retreat In The Garden

We arrived at Bobs Garden Stay after sunset, and my mind was still full of a thousand things that I work on at home.

When I stepped out of the car, I took a deep breath, and fresh floral-scented air filled my lungs. I lifted my eyes and saw a sky filled with stars. A weight left my body, and a sensation of calm began to roll over me.

Bob had left the cottage light on for us and had laid out some freshly hand-picked vegetables from his own garden. He had also baked some home-made biscuits for our pleasure and to feel welcomed would have been an understatement.

The cottage itself was fully stocked, with a full range of cutlery, glass wear, Nutra bullet, toaster, coffee, tea and cooking oils. Feel free to leave your utensils at home and grab some kale from the garden. In the summer the fruit trees will also be full and in abundance.

In the morning we met Bob and Bonnie, his beautiful dog. He welcomed us instantly and let us know about all of the hikes and trail. Bonnie even came along with us and was our personal guide as we walked across a few of the many hikes on the property.

There are open green fields to rest, walk or play with views of the mountains and forest to soak in. The best part is that there were more things to do, then we had time for. Ask Bob for the best nature, walk on the property.

The weekend at Bob's was the perfect place to recharge after being indoors for so long. Accompanied by the sounds of the local birds and flowing river, we felt immersed in nature. If you need some time with almost limitless space, then this is just for you.
